Nice red/orange!sleenster wrote:Sneak preview of Petter's new livery for his DS3:
thx sleenster... looks like they alls seem to be hiding the final livery... until they have to show it. I saw pictures of Henning driving a orange car whitout any stickers on... are they planning to do it the night before shakedown or something ...
Re: Petter 'Hollywood' Solberg - 2003 World Rally Champion

+1 thanks sleenster! Ilike the mirror thing...Denorth wrote:thank you sleenster. It looks good.

hmmm ... he is missing both the mad crock logo and the shell logo which is probably the reason he still lacs money to drive the whole season.
if i got it correct Shell was a two year deal as big sponsor 2009-2010 (the logo was on the motorhead last year, and the car was yellow) .... they do seem to continue (their logo is on his homepage) but not as a big sponsor anymore...
mad crock guy said to TS a couple of weeks back that they where still negotiating with Petter and if you look closely the motorhead of Petters car doesnt yet have a sticker on it... so atleast I hope that they are going to rewel one big sponsor more whos logo comes on the motorhead before chakedown...
a small update on this one: TS i think wrote a wile ago that Mad crock and Petter had made a multiple year deal... so sounds like his financial things looks much better at the moment...

Re: Petter 'Hollywood' Solberg - 2003 World Rally Champion
the ccar just looks superb. I feel the best looking car in the rally perhaps.
So its gonna be a mix of Ravishing Black and White for Kimi Raikkonen this season
Re: Petter 'Hollywood' Solberg - 2003 World Rally Champion
I don't like that livery Somehow it reminds me of the Hispania
Re: Petter 'Hollywood' Solberg - 2003 World Rally Champion
But I'm sure it will be more competitive than the HispaniaMar wrote:I don't like that livery Somehow it reminds me of the Hispania

Solberg in a Volkswagen?
By Ole Kristian Strøm
Published 03/03/1911 - 12:13, modified 03/03/1911 - 12:59 (AP)
(AP) Several European media claims that Volkswagen will be in the WRC - Petter Solberg and that is hyper-current as the guide.
AP has not had contact with VW's motorsport chief Kris Nissen, but after that we experience, there has been contact between the German automaker and Solberg.
If VW will focus on the WRC, it is probably with Polo.
AP has also informed that VW motorsport may bring key people from Petter Solberg WRC team for his efforts.
Site motorsport.no citing German media that both Solberg and World Champion Sebastien Loeb will be relevant drivers in the new team. Spanish media suggest, however, Nasser Al-Attiyah of Qatar. Arab money is probably attractive to rally the team.
Read also: Solberg had his license revoked
Sebastien Loeb Citroen contract expires after this season, but it is unclear if the Frenchman is going to give up or continue their career. Petter Solberg, however, is clear that he will run on. He believes that 36 years is no age for a rally driver.
A VW commitment to the WRC will likely become reality already in 2012, but the factory will probably not run the full World Cup next year.
