It looks like the brake ducts are being blocked by the front wing

i agree. when i had seen the VR-01 last year, it looked very slow, and the same i have to say about this years car, it looks more or less the same which is disappointing, the added white in front looks good but hate the uniform as it seems too plain

Expect them to be slower than TR too (though they hope to challenge them), but lets see

From what I see and my own preds I think it'll be:

Red Bull-McLaren (RB7 is evolution of a brilliant car & McLaren has very good knowledge of KERS and a radical car)
Ferrari-Mercedes (both look too conservative IMO, especially Ferrari unless they have big upgrades coming)
Renault (loss of Kubica will hurt them though, title hopes gone)
Sauber-Williams (James Key will be a big person for Sauber, whilst Barrichello can really push Williams)
Force India
STR-Team Lotus (Team Lotus will start around here but improve a bit throughout the season)
Virgin
HRT

I Think the brake ducts are feed by air which goes underneath the front wing.

The car look nice, but I hope it's fast enough to be in the 107%

The first thing I looked at Virgin's car was its front wing. Last year, they designed fairly, fairly simple front wing, at a time where Renault improved its almost at every race. Three parts, two parts were the trend but Virgin's CFD-designed front wind was so simple. This year's front wing seems to feature some of the solutions rival teams already found last year. That's a start. I am not sure they could compete with Lotus, however.

That's as close as they'll get to an actual car. I don't see them competing this year.

don't know about the car, but Daniel Simon created a lovely livery for HRT(minus 'your logo', 'cool spot' ... thingy)

Some very nice liverys this season! I think 2008/2009 were the worst years in terms of liverys. This year most cars look nice, some are awesome.

HRT need to find sponsors though, they have 'your logo' and 'your spot' everywhere...pretty embarrassing.

The Mercedes powered Force India, twelfth and last Formula 1 team to launched its 2011 car on online, with the Silverstone-based outfit.

The livery of HRT looks really nice, but Fifi not so... last years livery was better

HRT will not participate in Jerez' tests this week.

But they will do a photoshoot in Monza (using last year car) and then tests in Barcelona (not sure which car will be used)
