I hope Nick is alright to drive :(... And fingers crossed that the Ferraris are back up to speed with the Maccas...

even if Ferrari has gotten some pace, the more stable car out there stills the McLaren Mercedes. Both Kimi and Massa had a strange spin near the end of the session, when the rear of the car got the best of both of them.

I honestly don't think that Kimi can spin in a race. As far as I know his last mistake like this was at Monza in 2005 when he got angry after that tyre delamination and then pushed a bit too hard to go for the podium.

well actually, this year's race at montreal kimi spun several times like a lot of other drivers (alonso, trulli, rosberg etc...) and monaco, he made a mistake during quali, and of course mistakes during 2006, in fact i don't think any there is a driver who has not made a mistake this year yet, except lewis (i'm not a fan though but this is true)

Don't worry, Kovy will overtake Fisi straight at the start. Yellow_Colorz_PDT_02 Yellow_Colorz_PDT_02 Yellow_Colorz_PDT_02

Well Ferrari are now back. Good pole for Massa, but Hamilton did well. Shame about Alonso, but look forward to him fighting through the pack.

Good on the boys in red! I do feel sorry for Alonso. Good for Kubica as well. It should be a great race tomorrow. If the rain does join them, it will be more interesting, that is for those of us watching from the comfort of our homes, not for those in the stands!

I'm not gonna carry on this arguement just incase Kovy does  then I'll be buggered...

Though I know this is off topic COMPLETELY... But is anyone watching the GP2, I can't because I can't find anywhere to stream it but apparantly theres been a really big acciedent with Ernesto Viso and Michael Ammermuller... Sounds really nasty...

Its horrid... Sorry its in the wrong place but I thought seeing I started talking about it I should put it up...

Frustrated Alonso hoping for wet race
World champion Fernando Alonso is hoping for a wet French Grand Prix after a dismal qualifying on Saturday.

The Spaniard, 10 points behind teammate Lewis Hamilton in the championship, will start from 10th place on the grid after being hit by a gearbox problem at the start of the final shootout.

Hamilton, meanwhile, qualified right behind pole-setter Felipe Massa.

Alonso was unable to return to the track after his problems and so failed to set a laptime.

Now the two-time champion is hoping that tomorrow's expected rain helps him recover from his low position.

"If something like this happens to my rivals tomorrow and if I manage to score good points I'm sure I won't remember today's frustration, but it is disappointing to not be able to complete a single lap," the Spaniard told reporters after qualifying.

"But maybe tomorrow I'll be the lucky one and the rest will be unlucky.

"It's a lot harder and a lot more dangerous to start from the middle of the grid, but maybe it rains.

"It will be hard, but if I have to choose I'd prefer a wet race which is always a bit of a lottery and maybe I can benefit from that tomorrow."
Maybe the Ferraris might have the advantage with the longer wheelbase in the wet
but The only place it will rain from is from Alonsos eyes
