Formula One tests at Monza in 2006. Pictures taken by me.
Hi guys!
I've been to Monza so many times, I have thousands of pics I made at this track.
Here is a small compilation, all the shots are made with a Sony DSC-H2 Camera.
Tests on June 2006:
First chicane, photographer stand on the outside. I just climbed over the old banking and walked to this stand. nobody cared, so I took the chance and stood two hours there, and I came back there the following day.
Here are my youtube videos, that were made from this position:

Walking back at the banking, I made this cshot of Nico touching the gravel on the outside of the kerbs.
Then in the afternoon I headed towards the parabolica. There I jumped over the fence again to get onto the photographer's stand above the track. Again, nobody cared me doing this violation...hehe It really takes amazing reactions to make such pics. they are so damn fast there... The exhaust fumes are blown into yourt face, you literally feel every air turbulence this cars cause when they go past under neath you...
The youtube video by me from this position:

Then in the evening at the second chicane, at about 17:45 CET Jenson blows up the Honda engine right in front of me. You can't imagine how crazy a blown up engine smells. In contrast to the exhaust fumes, which have a slightly sweet touch such an engine blow up smells really "artificial". you notice that the oils used in there have nothing in common with the lubricants that are used by road cars.
UPDATE:
Next morning I started the day at the pitlane exit. Drivers use to practice starts here, so it was the perfect destination to shoot some great pics and make incredible vids. Let's start off with Ralf Schumacher, practicing a start. I love how the Carbon fibre shines on this pic in the early morning:
My dad watching Robert Kubica through his binoculars...
Jarno preparing for a start at the pitlane exit with his visor slightly opened
Robert Kubica rolling out in front of me at the first chicane very unspectacular.
More pics to come.

Yeah, I'm a really lucky man... I was so happy all those marshalls didn't say a word when i climbed over all those fences...One marshall even helped me getting over there with the4 camera and the heavy backpack...But hey, this is the itallian way of life, just one of so many reasons why I love this track so much...
@ donald:
I really made these shots myself. Including the videos underneath the pics. I also walked around the track twice, so I think I'll post some pics from the trackwalks a bit later on... keep an eye on this thread, It will grow fast in terms of pics and videos...

You don't wanna see it, you wanna hear it. I guarantee you. The sound will blow you away..

It really does. Seen them at Goodwood in 2003. They were literally doing doughnuts about 3 or 4 metres in front of me with just a waste high fence for separation. The sound is fantastic.

Beautiful pics.
This even makes me want to go more to the testing days at Spa Francorchamps, to make some pictures..
Can I ask which camera you used?

Yeah, I bought the Sony DSC-H2 especially for the Monza testdays.
It's a great cam with 13x optical zoom and amazing picture quality and colors. Sony did a great job on this one.

That would have been pretty cool to see a F1 car go round that track.
