Who was the best driver during the 2010 season?

Kubica was fighting for the 4th spot in Constructors' standings while Vettel and others were fighting for WDC. They are waaaay different from each other pressurewise. Yes it's important to make the most of the package but don't discount the pressure. Apples and oranges.

hamilton is by far my favourite driver and i thought he out drove his car at times but then i thought about kubica and i have to say he was amazing all year easily the one with least mistakes maybe because he was under less pressure but still thought he was driver of 2010 closely followed by hamilton.

I say Alonso. Now, I really really do not like the guy, but his dirty political manuverings aside, he was able to bounce back from a lackluster first part of the season to be in the title hunt (the title favorite really) until the very end. He didn't make the silly errors that Vettel, Hamilton, and Webber made (all 3 drivers whom I very highly regard), and found the pace when he needed to (until Abu Dhabi anyway). The man has won 2 world titles already, and I think he shall win more.

I don't doubt that Alonso is a great driver, but he did make silly errors. Its just that he made them earlier in the year so everyone forgets about them.

He didn't make the silly errors that Vettel, Hamilton, and Webber made (all 3 drivers whom I very highly regard), and found the pace when he needed to (until Abu Dhabi anyway). The man has won 2 world titles already, and I think he shall win more.

Well, I'd call Monaco shunt and China jump-start as silly errors.

+ Spinning in qualifying in Malaysia, costing him a place in Q2. He messed up Q2 in Turkey as well. And illegally passing Kubica, even if he was unlucky to be penalised.

Vettel, few errors, but he's still so young. Without all the mechanical issues he would've been Champion in Suzuka. Last few races he was in a class of his own. No question for me: Vettel.

Well I guess seeing as I've ranked the drivers from 27 to 1 for the magazine (released very soon), I have to vote who I put at #1...
