Rossi is usually faster in second FP. But Pedrosa time from frist practice is still faster then Valentino's time. Ducati's are at the back, I hoping that in qvali will be the same case. :mrgreen:autosport.com wrote: Rossi tops second session in Spain

Valentino Rossi snatched the top spot with his final lap of the Friday afternoon practice session in Barcelona - beating John Hopkins and Dani Pedrosa by less than a tenth of a second.
But Pedrosa's morning time remained the best of the day - 0.3 seconds faster than Rossi's afternoon effort - and the Spaniard was also fastest for the majority of second practice despite falling from his bike early on.
Pedrosa lapped in 1:43.391 shortly afternoon the session got underway, but then suffered a low-side at Turn 3 and parted company with his bike as it slid into the gravel.
He escaped uninjured and was able to rejoin later in the hour and complete another 17 laps. His early lap time stood as the fastest of the afternoon until Rossi beat it by 0.072 seconds at the very end of the session, with Hopkins grabbing second at the same time.
Toni Elias continued his promising morning practice form to go fourth quickest, 0.2 seconds off the pace, ahead of championship leader Casey Stoner, whose Ducati teammate Loris Capirossi escaped a trip through the gravel with no ill-effects, but could only manage 14th on the timesheets.
Chris Vermeulen, Marco Melandri, Alex Barros, Colin Edwards and Shinya Nakano filled the remaining top ten positions.

Rossi beats de Puniet to pole
By Matt Beer Saturday, June 9th 2007, 12:56 GMT
Valentino Rossi, Yamaha, CatalunyaValentino Rossi has taken pole for the Catalan Grand Prix, with Randy de Puniet achieving a career-best second on the grid despite his knee injury.
De Puniet had to sit out part of qualifying early on to rest his knee, which is badly swollen after his crash at Mugello last week. But when he rejoined the session, de Puniet was the first man to use qualifying tyres and set a stunning 1:41.901, under the existing lap record and a second clear of the rest of the field .
Rossi was the only man capable of beating de Puniet's lap, edging ahead by 0.061 seconds on his first qualifying run and clinching pole position in sweltering conditions at Catalunya.
Local hero Dani Pedrosa came within 0.09 seconds of de Puniet but had to settle for the outside front row spot, ahead of championship leader Casey Stoner, who was fastest during the first half of the session before dropping back when the field switched to qualifiers.
John Hopkins and Colin Edwards complete the second row, while Nicky Hayden briefly snatched third late in the session only to be edged back to seventh.
The Gresini Honda riders will start eighth and ninth, Toni Elias out-qualifying Marco Melandri. Alex Hofmann overcame a troubled practice to complete the top ten for Pramac D'Antin.
Loris Capirossi ended up 17th after having to abandon his primary bike when a problem hit on his first qualifying run. He ran back to the pits in time to rejoin with his spare bike, but hit traffic and could not improve his time.
De Puniet's teammate Olivier Jacque missed the session following his high-speed crash in final practice, but Kawasaki have not yet ruled him out of the race.
