Re: Your Top 3 overtaking moves in F1
Hakkinen on Schumacher is probably one of, if not the best, ever moves.
Raikkonen on Fisichella, Japan 2005
Quite liked any from Interlagos Turn 1, but this is the best one

1. Hakkinen - Schumacher, Spa 2000 (the one and only)
2. Hamilton - Raikkonen, Spa 2008 (best one I've seen live on tv)
3. Montoya - Schumacher, Interlagos 2001 (Montoya: Legend)

Yea he so was! I think Alesi and Senna made f1 in the early 90's That 1 single move shows what f1 is all about. side by side for ages!rfs wrote:Senna was an animal in 1993. Brilliant!nano1alonso wrote:SENNA PASS ON ALESI, CANADA 1993

A few cool ones that haven't been mentioned yet:
Montoya on Schumacher, Spa 2004
Massa on Barrichello AND Kovalainen, Montreal 2008
Mansell on Piquet, Silverstone 1987?

I hadn't seen the Senna-Alesi scrap before. That was totally brilliant!
I think Senna's moves from 5th to 1st on lap 1 of the 1993 European GP at Donnington were all pretty gutsy. Häkkinen on Schumacher Spa 2000 was truly mind blowing, as was Räikkönen on Fisichella at Japan 2005 (probably the best move I ever saw live). Hamilton and Räikkönen fighting at Spa 2008 was pretty cool too (Hamilton really won that race, I'm sorry).
I think the best overtake of 2010 so far has been Vettel on Webber in Turkey or Vettel on Button in Belgium...

Best of this season is Hamilton on Rosberg, Melbourne, round the outside. Brilliant

Massa on Kovalainen and Barrichello? I think that was mainly because of Kovalainens mistake..

There have been so many great moves in F1 but I have to say that the most beautiful one I have EVER seen has to be without a doubt Piquet vs Senna Hungary 1986. That was absolutely breathtaking. When I think of the drivers today and how they complain that overtaking is impossible and then watch Piquet DRIFT past Senna - absolutely amazing!
