It is a shame. Races like the indy in 2005 did a lot to damage F1 to the fans who where from the US. Before that it was already struggling.

Yeah, it's a real bleak existence for F1 fans here. Nobody knows what you're talking about, and when you show them a picture of an F1 car, they ask you which one Danica drives. Try and explain things to them and they end up getting all confused.

to whomesoever i have spoken to, they mostly would have heard of f1, if they have heard it at all, they have no idea abt any of drivers
