I like the idea of night races as for us in the UK races in such as Australia, Japan, China etc.... can be put on at night and the races would be more suited to our time zone. Bernie wants to get the viewing figures up, thats all. In terms of making races more exciting. Take Flavio's suggestion of following what GP2 do and have 2 races with reserving the grid and seeing the fast cars coming through the field. A total redesign of the cars needs to be done so cars can follow each other more closely in the dirty air

Yeah but what about the fans in Australia...

My friend can't watch half the races because they are on too early and he has to work on a Monday... I think its fine that Europe gets one or two late/early races, it balances out the people on the other side of the world having 10 late/early races ...

I think it would be nice, but safety has to come first

It's not easy to find a solution for this problem. In fact I live in Switzerland and usually I can watch the race on sunday. But now I'm in Canada and it's not easy to see it, because of the difference!!!

Also for the MotoGP races there's same problem.

Anyway it would be great to see a night race... But the problem with the time would remain, if the race is in the afternoon for the Australian people in Europe it would be an impossible time... and vice versa!

i don't think it would make much of a difference. weird example...they have ski races at night for the super-g...but the track is so lit up that it doesn't really make a difference

Night racing is good for TV and prime time viewers!!!! TV Ratings = $$$ - so with that in mind us Americans will get to see the race in the middle of the day, instead of at 4am (west coast) Maybe a few more viewers...

Count me in!!

I would love to watch a night race but it seems like a logistical nightmare...

this night races will be cool, imagined f1 having front lights installed on them, a glow in the dark material
