my logic would say that they where planning to have Kimi and sordo in the junior team? so Sordo going to Ford?
there's logic from Dani's side :O
Ogier is Citroen's next best thing, so maybe Dani hopes that he will have more chances to shine in Ford

definitely a logic from Dani's side... his future in citroen has a big "we are never going to let you win" in the contract.... so a change could be good for him.

I just didn't get the logic how it affected Kimis situation.... :O

here is maxrallys version of Sordos contract situation:

Thank you Kriss, Julia and Luie for the articles. Kriss, my heart just had a meltdown

Here's MTV3's wild speculations

They are thinking of the possibility that Citroen would put Kimi in the main team this season if they have the possibility of both Citroen and Citroen Junior Team beating Ford.

Imagine how many would choke on that one

And Kimi's good friend Matti Nykänen is sentenced to jail - again. This time for beating up his wife. So Kimi has to visit him in jail next time :fear:
To be changed soon - rko281, where are you??? LOL

Actually it could affect Kimi's situation, there is strong rumours that Citroen will only have 3 cars ready for next year. Petter has already admitted that he will properly not be getting a car from them next year, so if they really want Sordo then perhaps there wouldn't be a car for Kimi.

Yeah, that's quite a bit on Kimi. Then again, who can stop mentioning Kimi when they talk about Spa-Francorchamps?

EDIT:
Thanks for the nice translation, Kriss.
Nicole: Colin was already speculating about Kimi going to main Citroen team during Rally Germany.

I am going to miss Kimi at Spa this weekend, and the BBC will properly do their best not to mention him. :zz:

In any case it seems like there is some real confusion with regards to Kimi's future, (well more usual). Things are just so contradicting right now, something gives me the strange idea that those Robertson are busy concocting something, or at the very least they are working on some potential scheme, behind the scenes. It seems like Steve was really prominent at the German rally and Heikki Kulta properly knows something, off the record. I will not try to guess what this scheme exactly is, I will just sit back and watch, luckily I am a patient person. :)

Boudica: Who cares if BBC mention him or not? This is SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS we are talking about. Kimi need no mentioning there, the circuit and the fans there know it. I hope somebody puts up a banner "Where's my King?" on behalf of the circuit. :p

Yeah, I am also not sure about what his plans are for next year. The best guess would be not to guess. :) I think this may take until the end of the year to finalize the plans.

Is there a point in having a Junior team if they can only have 3 cars ready? If that's the case, they may not even have a Junior team next year.

Kriss wrote:I've just read an interview with the Hungarian rally driver Frigyes Turán. He was in Portugal and in Bulgaria.
This is his oppinion abou Kimi. I think it's interesting.

The translation is mine so sorry in advance
How inaccessible Raikkonen is, is he behaving like a star?
- Turán Frigyes : In the rally world nobody is inaccessible. It was interesting that even though these boys are incredibly big stars they do not act like that, they are not isolated from each other. During the test, for example, we talked a lot to Hirvonen, Latvalala and Block, we almost had the common test track with the Ford guys and with Räikkönen. We talked a little and we found him sympathetic. That stardom, the Iceman image, I think is mostly generated by the media, it does not necessarily arises from him. It is a great experience to compete with these stars or even overtake them.

The media obviously is incredibly interested in Raikkonen because after all he is a big star - How does he handle it?
- Turán Frigyes : In Bulgaria I had a “double” image about Räikkönen. It is stunning how the media surrounds this man: special /separate TV crews are following him, at departure and at arrival they push their cameras at his face from 15-20 cm. This seems to disturb him, and probably that’s why he was called Iceman, he does not like this kind of excessive, almost intrusive interest. Gabi and I were lucky to meet him behind the scenes. He was absolutely informal and friendly, he was asking questions with sincere interest and yes, he was even smiling! In his private life, I think he is a nice and cool man.

"A teszten sokat beszélgettünk például Hirvonennel, Latvalával, Blockkal, a fordosokkal majdhogynem közös tesztpályán voltunk. Räikkönennel ugyan csak keveset beszéltünk, de szimpatikusnak találtuk" . Vagyis: During the test, for example, we talked a lot to Hirvonen, Latvalala and Block, we almost had the common test track with the Ford guys . We talked only a little with Räikkönen, but we found him sympathetic. Egyébként klassz lett a fordítás, köszi, hogy megcsináltad. Ritka öröm, hogy magyarul van exkluzív infó, ráadásul ilyen érdekes :)
I was wondering if Turán Frici was a able to talk with Kimi. He mentioned before how great is , that all these stars they looked up to as their heroes, wellcomed them and congratulated to their result in Bulgaria.
On the other hand it's interesting that many people assumes that the Iceman nick comes from Kimi's media-shy persona. Well, maybe it's part of it, but he got it from Ron and the Mc guys, because he was never fazed by anything. Whatever happened, he moved on pretty fast.

I only hope that Dani will win Spain this time :O

About Kimi's future we must just relax... wait and see :zz: cuz we even don't know how many Citroen/Ford/Skoda's cars would be there next season

Could smb. plz help me to translate this (from SPOX)?
google says "If I want to drive, no problem would have been. But the offers me nothing has really irritated that I would need to commit immediately. Therefore I have decided to now go only once to rally."

I'm not sure if I understand it right, especially the last sentence
