Re: Football Summer 2010 *Transfer Window Open*
Newcastle once paid nearly 20 million combined for Titus Bramble and Jean Alain Boumsong, who entertained England with their brand of slapstick comedy in central defence. That's worse than paying 10 million or so for Mido.
Re: Football Summer 2010 *Transfer Window Open*
I saw Spurs play yesterday - hammered 4-1 by Villareal, and they hit the bar and did one of the worst misses I've ever seen in professional football (6 yards out, open goal, in the middle of the goal and the guy hit it wide).

Re: Football Summer 2010 *Transfer Window Open*
We played 1-1 against PAOK Should have been 3-0 at the half time break, and we should have had a last min penalty (hand bal). But we should've finished them off in the first 45. We miss a striker

And there is our striker! It's Mounir El Hamdaoui from AZ
He scored 50 goals in 81 matches for them. Not bad
Happy!

Re: German Bundesliga
Bayern has a very good team now. The Champions league title should be the target. Especially the midfield is one of the best in Europe. Only the defence is not good enough for the champions league
Possible lineup:
--------------------------------Butt--------------------------------
Lahm------------Van Buyten------Demichelis---------Contento/Badstuber
---------------van Bommel---------Schweinsteiger-------------
Robben---------------------Müller-------------------------Ribery/Kroos
------------------------------Olic----------------------------------

Re: German Bundesliga
Bayern need defenders, Demichelis is a liability and Van Buyten and Badstuber don't convince me either. Also why doesn't Klose get a look in??? Is he that bad for Bayern???

Re: German Bundesliga
it sounds strange but Klose only plays well for the national team. Perhaps he doesn't fit in the 4-4-1-1 system that Bayern plays.

2010-11 UEFA Champions League
We've reached the final round of qualifying for the Champions League, the draw is:
Dynamo Kiev v Ajax
Zenit St Petersburg v Auxerre
Werder Bremen v Sampdoria
Braga v Sevilla
Young Boys v TOTTENHAM
FK Partizan v Anderlecht
Sparta Prague v MSK Zilina
Basel v FC Sheriff
Rosenborg v Copenhagen
Salzburg v Hapoel Tel-Aviv
I must say that my beloved Spurs are playing a team called "Young Boys" who play at what was the "Wankdorf" until recently. You couldn't make it up, you could make atrocious puns on how we'll get on top and give Young Boys a good spanking all day. On the draw, Ajax-Kiev and Sampdoria-Bremen are great ties, tough for both sides. The big teams start here, before the really big teams enter for the group stage. Feel free to comment everyone, even if your not a fan or whatever.

Re: 2010-11 UEFA Champions League
The Young Boys lost Seydou Doumbia and they were unable to replace him, so it should be quite easy for Tottenham. Werder Bremen is currently the second best team in Germany, which is why I expect them to qualify for the group stage. If Özil does not leave for a more popular club, they can be the big surprise of this CL-Season.

I don't think you will, your a decent side and Kiev are nothing special. Should be a close tie, not sure who'll win overall.
