Maybe a coincidence, but if I didn't recall wrongly Hockenheim/Nurburgring was a turning point in the last few years of the drivers' and team championship..
Montoya win in Hockenheim in 2003 for Williams, Alonso and Webber win in 2005 and 2009 for Renault and Red Bull..

Team orders should be allowed. I am quite in agreement with this principle. Teams should be allowed to control their results. May not be fair for the viewers and may create controversy and circus but teams should be allowed that. Like any company running their business.

HOWEVER...since 2002 team orders are "outlawed". That regulation should be canceled out of the sporting regs. But since it is in effect, I'd say run with it and penalize Ferrari and Alonso. Swap their finishing positions giving them the individual points they would have earned (Massa 1st place, Alonso 2nd place) and penalize the team by not awarding whatever points they won from their 1-2 finish.

I wouldn't mind team orders that much if they disguised it well enough. But to do it so blatantly and make up rubbish about Massa making a mistake upshifting is insulting to F1 fans intelligence.

The obvious nature of it I find much worse than the use of team orders, because every team does it. McLaren did it this way, telling Button to not race with Hamilton by telling him he had to save the car. I don't mind that, it was done with intelligence. Ferrari did it with stupidity, it was about as sly as hiding an elephant in a phone box.

The most annoying thing about this is ferrari thinks the fans and press are stupid. Did you see massa at the press conference. And after that ferrari continues telling there were some problems for felipe, yeah right...disqualify them, maybe they will learn to be more clever instead of this childish behaviour.
