Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali has issued a blunt warning to his staff to find themselves another job if they do not believe the Scuderia can win this year's Formula One world championship.

Domenicali was speaking on Thursday night following the monthly meeting of Ferrari's senior management as they seek to get their season back on track.

Ferrari have produced major upgrades for their F10 chassis at the last two races in Valencia and at Silverstone but drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa have managed to score just four points between them.

Neither driver scored a point in the British Grand Prix - a first for Ferrari this season - but despite trailing home 14th, Alonso, who stands fifth in the drivers' championship 47 points behind leader Lewis Hamilton, defiantly insisted the title was still up for grabs.

Domenicali has now echoed the Spaniard's sentiments and told the team's official website: "Anyone who does not believe that we can win the world championship would do better looking for another job.

"No-one here is giving up. There are still nine races to go and anything can happen.

"We will have to do our job perfectly, that is to say the Ferrari way, and then the results will come."

It was morning in Australia, here it was very late in the evening. I called a colleague in Melbourne whom I greatly admire.

The substance of the message is here for your consideration because of course there isn't any possibility to confirm it.

1) Webber has, in spite of already signed a contract, no intention of staying with Vettel in Red Bull after the known events.

2) The Kangaroo does not trust Pimples Bill and he also believes that Red Bull is completely on the little German's side.

3) Webber has talked with Domenicali and offered himself for 2011, knowing that Ferrari has already signed Messiah of Oviedo.

4) The Australian colleague does not know how Domenicali responded, who of course denies everything from A to Z and I'm almost tempted to believe him.

Maria, the thing with Leo Turrini is that he writes for three papers in Italy, he is a sport-reporter who just came back from SA and he writes official and clean articles in the papers but his blog is a place where he comes out with all kind of information that cannot be printed.

That's why Evil Cola (Colajanni) is not looking so good at him

The thing is he seems to be well connected inside Ferrari. He even gets to sit on a one-on-one with Domenicalli, and he does not seem to be lying when he says that he know about Ferrari in the past thirty years better than anyone else.

One thing I have always felt about Ferrari w.r.t. Kimi. I loved them when he was under the guidance of Todt. That feeling changed totally to the opposite when Todt left. I never thought there was political scheming to oust Ferrari. But, now connecting dots, it does not seem far-fetched.

I can only feel happy about Ferrari this year. They stopped development mid-way thru last season. Yet, both Red Bull and McLaren have better cars..

You are right, Dheeban. He was a personal friend with Senna and they call Turrini the 'unofficial' voice of Ferrari.

The best was last January when the blog-readers could send in questions to LdM and Luca had to read them and also reply to some of them. The questions to Luca were not nice in any way, straight questions about why Kimi was sacked, why Alonso was taken etc etc and he was quite irritated after the interview. After that we heard these weird negative statements about Kimi that LdM uttered to the media.

Mika Salo and Pierre Kaffer will drive a second Risi Competizione Ferrari F430 GT in next week’s American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park. Salo - a Finn - and Kaffer - from Germany – will join regular pilots Jaime Melo and Gimmi Bruni who share the GT championship lead in the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón.

Salo and Kaffer raced together for Risi in 2009 with Kaffer teaming with Melo for the full American Le Mans Series in the familiar red Ferrari. The Melo/Kaffer/Salo trio won each of the three biggest sports car races in the world – the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, the Le Mans 24 Hours and Petit Le Mans all in the same year.

Salo won the 2007 GT2 championship with Melo as the duo took eight victories in 12 races. The Finn’s last full-season effort in the Series came in 2008 when he won with Melo at Mosport and Petit Le Mans in addition to a class triumph at Le Mans. His best Lime Rock finish was his most recent – third in 2008.

Kaffer is a two-time overall winner in the American Le Mans Series. He won for Audi at Sebring and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in 2004. He finished second last year with Melo in his lone Lime Rock appearance.
