I think their future is to complete the grid!! On the other hand the can also be a great team for young drivers who are just starting!!!

i am surprised by how off-the-pace they are!
i was expecting a hell of a lot more from them.
having met albers, i took a likin to him but its a shame he is so far down the grid!

the wet fp3 of monaco though, was very surprising!
Thankyou Schumi you will always have a place in our hearts!

They are only around a second off the next pack so they aren't that far off the pace. Also at Paul Ricard when on the Canada or USA layout they were ahead of most of the next pack. I think with Mike Gasgionge onboard they'l go back to like they were in 98/99 the only reason he didn't get Toyota wins was because of their poor managerial style which didn't allow him to do what he wanted

Am surprised at how well Sutil has done and how comprehensively he has beaten Albers at tiems. Don't rate Albers. Sorry nelmesy16 :(

Schumi should buy Spyker rename it Team Schumi Ferrari and put Ralph as lead driver. Sutil and Albers would have until the end of the season to figure out who stays.

Schumi is young enough to be lead tester and help develop the car... Sponsorship would be no problem... What a story THAT would make.

spyker f1 will be like sauber petronas. sometimes good, sometimes bad, but they will produce some good drivers who will inevitably leave the team.
the next thing we know the team will be bought by larger team. expect something like bmw-spyker one day.

if u look at the times of sutil and albers, there very very very close to eachother.... in the monaco race there fastest lap was only 0.009... thats is incredible close! plus, i got to admite albers has had lots of bad luck this year and sutil has had no problems.... wait till albers has a weekend without problems, then i garenteed u will be suprised!

i was expecting a huge improvement, they havnt qualifyed well at all... thats what i meant by off the pace... i thought they would be tail enders of the mid-pack. not tail enders of the championship!

QUESTION: How many points will Spyker score this season, if any?

id say 1 or 2, although i hope more!

well life is difficult for them as they are the only ones out of the bottom few teams (torro rosso..super aguri...spyker) to not have bought their chassis from a higher team...

prodrive will enter as the 12th team next year and the rumours say that they will get a mclaren chassis/mercedes engine deal of some sort....hard times lie ahead for spyker which is quite sad because them not running other teams' chassis is quite admirable actually...although they need to do that to save themselves or else they could be sold again like midland if the results don't start to come in

Maybe Spyker become a Ferrari sister team? With Hans & Franz Shumacher at the helm? :cheesy:
