Whats this talk about Kimis crashing? Its so normal in rally that I would have been disappointed if he hadnt tried to give it all in this tarmac rally. Tarmac is his surface folks, he has to try how far he can go with a rally car which he is btw trying to learn to know on tarmac conditions. So Kimi, continue to do so if you have to.
Totally agree, Eeva. People seem to be forgetting that F1 and rally are totally different from each other so they might have to adjust their expectations a bit

Kimi told MTV3 that he took the first stage a bit too easy.
And Mikko joked about switching to F1, because an ex Grand Prix driver was faster than him.
These from MTV3 broadcast on MTV3 MAX..
Love it!!!
Bless your heart, Mikko

Well that would be +1 for F1. Too bad about the crash, he was doing so well too! But glad he and Kaj are fine. Let's see if they can continue tomorrow.
Every mile I have with the Citroen C4 WRC is giving a certain pleasure - Kimi Raikkonen
My ideal is to win the race at the slowest speed possible - Alain Prost
You should just stick with those people who are really there for you - Sebastian Vettel

That's right, Jari-Mari and Hirvo said to reporters all the time that they are competing against Kimi
Kimi's misfortune was their luck one could say, right? Just to throw it back

What chances are that he was one of those spectators who were there at the time?

I came so late here. Has Kimi said anything about the incident? Did he hear the note wrong or was there perhaps wrong note or something? Or did he press the gas pedal wtih his left and right foot because we know he thinks rally cars are actually quite slow compared to F1

Am I stupid because I don't see the double post
By all means, give me some work, otherwise I'm just bragging about the moderator-thing without lifting a finger
Would you for example get mad at me if I would lock this thread during stage 3 tomorrow?
I knew you wouldn't mind it

I see it as follows: It's his learning curve. Snow was first surface in WRC car for him so it took him two crash outs to get to the level. On the gravel he was a bit more experienced, so it took him one crash out to get hold of it, more or less. On tarmac he had to make his sacrifice too, alas, I suspect his surprising results played some role in that crash was almost as severe as in Mexico, he was sure pleased with himself and might have moved his limits a bit too far, just to find the edge... Now he knows it and will continue with more care and I'm sure even more speed. Tarmac is his thing in rally, it is an axiom for now.

So, a rally driver should know that it's time to retire when Kimi starts beating him?

Because there has been talk about luck, Alonso has told that he would be leading the championship if he would have had better luck
Does he mean that Vettel has been lucky
