I think quite a bit of the ITV coverage is ok... But ITV stick morons on ALL their sports shows...

IF they either quietened Allen down or got rid of him and put someone who knows about F1 and not just doing the job because he gets to travel the world like Steve Ryder, then SHARE the programme to all drivers and teams they'd be ok...

I prefer the BBC... I love the way they show their sports, their cricket coverage was brilliant, they always talk about all 30 odd competing snooker players in the snooker tournments and their MotorGP or whatever bike one it is is bareable... And all the commentators make you smile whilst being unbiased (bar one or two)...

BBC did OK with their coverage back then really. The commentators and really the overall package were great with the slight exception that not all qualifying sessions were shown live or just were not shown at all. Now they could do a pretty decent F1 package I reckon they could show the FP1 etc on their other channels like BBC 3 but what is actually live on a Friday at around 11 o clock on BBC1 that anyone will bother to watch. Qualifying they would probably stick on Interactive like the Moto GP (Last time I checked anyway which probably was last year) ITV are just rubbish.

i hate itv due to commercials. did you know that last year they went to an ad break 2 seconds before michael schumacher's engine blew up in japan? and remember imola 2005 when it was one of the closest finishes in years and they went to a break for 3 of the last 4 laps? their website crashed after that due to so many complaints!

The one that annoyed me the most is when Massa won in Turkey and they went to breaks when he went on the podium... We lost most of the Brazilian national anthem, yet I can't remember ANYONE else that they have done that with... It was disrespectful...

I think everyone hates the commercials on there. Imola 2005 was just evil though. I think they were going to wait till Michael got by but well it never happened and they just waited till like 3 laps to go and have the worst placed ad break in ITV History. It is quite funny how they don't take a break during football matches and only at half time because that is an interval and F1 has no intervals. OK so one 3 minute break F1 should get surely? Well, nope. I could moan about the adverts for ages so I better end my mini rant now.

I agree on both subjects. James Allen is soo biased and overreacts to everything, and ITV, well ... advert breaks are soo annoying, What would make them slightly better would be if they had a box in one of the corners of the screen showing the live race, while the adverts were going on.
BBC was best, full uninterupted coverage of the whole race and qualifying.

but back in my home country we use itv commentary so if you are moving, make sure you dont go there.

but it was ok before, when martin and murray did the commentary. actually i liked them especially since we dont have specialist f1 commentators so you would expect to hear absolute rubbish if we dont use foreign commentary. it's allen's bias that i dont like.

How do we rate the ITV and National Broadcasting crew today.

I think the camera shots were not too bad because what actually was there to follow on track?

Still annoyed with the ITV crew with all the Hamilton talk. Alonso just crossed the line and already Allen was talking about Lewis! Eugh. And now we have Blundell stating the obvious on screen

Is Lewis Hamiltons REAL first name Britians  thats all they seem to call him... Its always Britians Lewis Hamilton  :cheesy:...

The actual camera directing isn't bad... But I really think half the ITV crew are watching a completely different race from us  ... The only time I ever saw Hamilton catching up was when Alonso was stuck behind someone, yet it seems I was wrong and he was just catching up on him :| ...

i listened to bbc commentary today, it was quite good. obviously they talked quite a bit about british drivers on track (hence the name bbc) but in the end when alonso wins, they talked a lot more about alonso than all the rest.

Did anyone else notice Allen's moronic mistake today? The lapped Kubica got in between the 2 Mclaren's and Allen was saying how interesting it was thinking he was racing them! Everone else was miles behind at that point, after the second stops.
