And yet they will have a tyre warredstorm wrote:The FIA wanted a single supplier to keep costs down. The world is all about PR now, and WRC has to do the politically correct (ahhh makes my mouth sour!) thing and at least appear to be taking the initiative. It will be cheaper but I can't imagine it's a huge difference. It's all about looks.
I would personally like to go back to full on manuel gearboxes. If the Group B monsters could do it, so can these guys!

Mouton to contest Morocco event
http://www.autosport.com/news/grapevine.php/id/84929
I have to admit that I didn´t have a clue who she is, but after googling her I have to say I am impressed.
She was very successful (for a woman ) How come there aren´t any women in rally now with similar success? I mean, for a woman it is probably easier to drive rally than F1 (because of g-forces) or am I wrong?

I remember Mouton. I was her fan back then. She drove Audi if I remember correctly. The boys from our village called me Mouton . ...I would think it would be easier, but nowadays I see more karting girls than rally girls. Maybe its because there is so few manufactures and places to be on top team.valuk wrote:Mouton to contest Morocco event

Re: Rally News
Maybe they just don´t want to get dirty while driving on the dusty roads. I guess the glamor of F1 is more appealing which is sad because I think it would be easier to succeed in rally. Not because rally is easier to master but because it is not so physically hard.apple wrote:I remember Mouton. Sebastien Ogier at Ford in 2011?
Still no contract for 2011, Sebastien Ogier has received an offer from Ford to join the team official from 2011. The French did indeed confirm this rumor: "I had a proposal from Ford. And Citroen knows. Now it remains to reach agreement on the future. " However, Ogier has currently no intention to change "camp" all depends on the contract and the terms offered by Citroen: "There is no reason to change my team. My desire is to stay at Citroen, because everything that happened to me well so far happened with them. "
Because of this "fuzzy", Sebastien Ogier was absent during the last trials of the DS3 WRC on asphalt ("There is no particular concern with Citroen. It is true that I had to ride on Friday, but ultimately it will not happen. Because I am currently in contract negotiations for next season).
In any case, his relationship with Sebastian Loeb has changed during the season, the multiple world champion French admit: "We'll see how it will happen in the team when he gets there. It is clear that the relationship to him has evolved naturally, before I was advising, it is now at a stage where it became my number one rival. I may have to stop to give him all the small pipes. is normal, that's racing. "

He might go to Ford, if Loeb doesnt retire. He wont stand being a No2 like Sordo... Or he might just stay for the next season provided Loeb retires at end of 2011 or if he is allowed to battle it out with Loeb!

That would be a strong team. What would Citroen have (if Loeb retires) : P. Solberg, Dani and Kimi? Some younger guys?saif wrote:how about a 3 car team, like the one Citroen were talking about.valuk wrote:Who would Ogier replace? Latvala or Hirvonen?

Re: Rally News
If Loeb is to retire soon then I guess Citroen should be able to hang onto Ogier, because the only reason that Ogier would think of to go away from Citroen would be being a no2 to Loebvaluk wrote:That would be a strong team. Why are they using smaller cars for 2011? Because the engine is less powerful or is it just a commercial decision?Denorth wrote:citroen announced DS3R3
