Kimi signed a two year new deal with Citreon?
Re: 2010-11 Silly Season
Well, he does not return to F1. He only wanted to return to if he got a good car. Well all the good seats are gone now. I don't see Kimi signing with Sauber or Lotus.

Why would Renault want Raikkonen when they have Kubica as number one and they are focusing on him. This rumour of Raikkonen going to Renault has started since 05 or 06, then it was a strong rumour in 09 as Reanult were going to get Nokia as one of their main sponsors which is a Finnish company, and someone on here wrote that, Raikkonen signed a new 2 year deal with Citreon?phil1993 wrote:According to Autosprint, Renault want Raikkonen in 2011.

Maybe because they want 2 confident and fast drivers at Renault. I don't think Kubica will be that dissapointed if they drop him to 2nd in the team. And Petrov ... well ... he is nothing compared to a champion like Kimi RaikkonenRagingJamaican wrote:Why would Renault want Raikkonen when they have Kubica as number one and they are focusing on him.
Re: 2010-11 Silly Season
Sutil is also being linked to Renault as a potential team mate to Kubica.

Unfortunately, I too don't see Kimi making a return to F1 any time soon. He's the kind of guy that doesn't want to be pushed around or forced into a long-term deal, especially with a 2nd rate team. If there's any chance of seeing Räikkönen return, it's going to be his call on his terms.

Nick heidfeld to Sauber ? He deserves to be in F1 next year.
Nick Heidfeld is tipped to combine an ongoing role as Mercedes’ reserve driver next year with a race cockpit in the German touring car series DTM.
The 33-year-old said recently he wants to be back on the F1 grid in 2011 because “I feel too young for DTM or for taking part in Le Mans”.
But with many teams likely to secure unchanged driver lineups next year, Heidfeld admitted this week: “I’m afraid that the top ten seats are gone already.”
Now, in the Auto Plus column of the well-known French TF1 journalist-commentator Jean-Louis Moncet, veteran of 167 grands prix Heidfeld may be leaning towards a move to DTM.
But Heidfeld would combine the 2011 seat, presumably in one of the Mercedes-powered DTM cars, with an ongoing role at grands prix, Moncet added.
The same split is being managed this year by David Coulthard, who races a 2008 C-Class as well as attending F1 events as a British television pundit and occasional Red Bull reserve driver.
However, Germany’s Bild newspaper recently said Sauber, currently fielding Pedro de la Rosa alongside Kamui Kobayashi, could host Heidfeld’s return to formula one in 2011.
Heidfeld drove for the independent Sauber team between 2001 and 2003, and then again with BMW ownership in 2006-2009.

Re: 2010-11 Silly Season
It's a shame Heidfeld is out of a seat this year. But it be and even bigger shame if he would stay out of a seat next year. He is much better than let's say all the drivers without a point so far. And that's a big list ! So a seat at HRT, Virgin or Lotus should be easily possible for Quick Nick...

But he wants to join a top team and all the top 10 seats are unavailable.Tom Vandenhove wrote:It's a shame Heidfeld is out of a seat this year. If they don't want to join a smaller team they have to realize their chances or gone. After Luca Badoer I don't think anyone wants a driver with more than a year on the sideline.iceman1 wrote:But he wants to join a top team and all the top 10 seats are unavailable.
Re: 2010-11 Silly Season
I don't see Heidfeld returning to Sauber. I think he will stay at Mercedes. In case Schumacher decides not to do the three seasons. Why would he want to go to Sauber anyway? No reliability, no speed, no money.
And I'm quite sure Raikkonen will not go to Renault. He wants a winning car. Which is Renault not (yet). On top of that, Kimi does want to receive some salary. And I'm not talking $100,- a year. :P I don't think Renault wants to pay him the salary he wishes.
