Grand Prix du Canada 2010
Re: Grand Prix du Canada 2010
Also a reminder to British viewers that Qualifying will be broadcast live on BBC2, not BBC1.

looks like Massa is trying to fix the oil leak
Re: Grand Prix du Canada 2010
The Canadian GP is one of my favourite races on the schedule, the Canadian and Brazilian Grands Prix are always interesting races that do not need wet weather to make it exciting. I think Force India could do rather well, their car was a top 5 car at Monza last year in low downforce configuration - and this years car is only a evolution of last years car - which could bode well for Montreal. If the F-Duct system is effective, then Sutil could score a top five finish.

"Yeah guys, Fernando fell overboard a few hours ago. Did you not hear me? I shouted really loudly. Oh well, shame."
Re: Grand Prix du Canada 2010
Don't expect anything from Ferrari here
Alonso: "I hope things will go better from Valencia, where the F10 should appear in a very advanced B specification."

I actually find it very dull in general, unless there's a crash or other incidents. It's a track that shouldn't see F1 anymore in my opinion.AMG 6.3 wrote:The Canadian GP is one of my favourite races on the schedule, the Canadian and Brazilian Grands Prix are always interesting races that do not need wet weather to make it exciting. you must be crazy, canada gp its a must have in calendar, are you trying to say that hungarian gp produces better show, sorry but i dont think so
Re: Grand Prix du Canada 2010
Yeah, it looks like my opinion is totally different from yours, what can I do ?alex1369 wrote:you must be crazy, canada gp its a must have in calendar, are you trying to say that hungarian gp produces better show, sorry but i dont think so
Here are the tracks that I consider to make races exciting or at least not usually boring: Australia, Malaysia, China, Turkey, GBR (Silverstone), Germany (I prefer Hockenheim rather than Nürburgring), Belgium, Italy (Monza), Japan (Suzuka). Brazil.
The tracks I really don't like: Bahrain, Spain (Barcelona), Monaco (sorry for that), Canada, Europe (Valencia), Hungary, Singapore, Abu Dhabi.
Re: Grand Prix du Canada 2010
anyway u will see this weekend why canada gp is a must have on calendar, just wait and enyoy
Re: Grand Prix du Canada 2010
Hmm, you know something that I don't know ? If Lewis wins it, I'll like italex1369 wrote:anyway u will see this weekend why canada gp is a must have on calendar, just wait and enyoy
As I see it, the only good overtaking place is the first corner (the chicane is too dangerous and you can hit the wall of champions if you try something overly optimistic there).
Re: Grand Prix du Canada 2010
you see and thats what im trying to say, Canada is monaco and monza in 1, they go over 330km/h and the walls are very close, and thats why i love it, it doesnt matter who wins (for sure i would like that Lewis wins), dont worry well get a good show like every year in Canada
Re: Grand Prix du Canada 2010
There are three overtaking opportunities at least:lucian wrote:As I see it, the only good overtaking place is the first corner (the chicane is too dangerous and you can hit the wall of champions if you try something overly optimistic there).
- Into the first corner
- Down into the hairpin
- At the final chicane
BBC's Jonathan Legard on Twitter wrote:McLaren upgrades include new front wing and rear wing for Canada. For Silverstone though, Hamilton and Button will pretty much have a new car. New front suspension for both drivers at Renault who are expecting to mix it with Mercedes. Team feel Kubica oculd be stronger than in Monaco

Emerson Fittipaldi will be the steward for this GP
Re: Grand Prix du Canada 2010
Dry on Friday, dry on Saturday, but...
Things are set to change on Sunday. We are set for an overcast start to the day and the situation won't get any better as we approach the race start.
A second band of rain will track slightly further north than on Saturday, bringing Montreal much more into the target zone. Showers are expected - some of these will be heavy - by mid-morning, leading to a damp or wet start to the race.
The rain is then set to clear, but it will take all afternoon for this to happen. The current thinking is that we'll have a wet start to the race but with drying track conditions towards the end. With little or no sunshine on offer the temperature gauge will suffer as the mercury drops to 22 degrees Celsius.
