Re: Kimi Red Bull Rally Monster
Ferntander Alonso is now facing the cruel section of Ferrari drivers life, if he doesnt do something spectacular in the race.
Monte said at the beginning of this year that heads will be fallen down if the team doesnt deliver..so will we see changes in Ferrari team? and dont mean Alonso..
Kimi had his share of the bs the italian and also spanish press poored to his neck, now let see how Alonso will cope with it.

Re: Kimi Red Bull Rally Monster
I thought Domencali looked and sounded very sheepish after qaulifying today, can imagine what would have been said if that had been Kimi qualifying in 12th. Both Luca and Domencali are naturally saying they were right to hire Alonso but then they would would'nt they, I thought he was going to work miracles for them but have yet to see it - in fact he has made several unforced errors somethng which I thought he was incapable of .
Re: Kimi Red Bull Rally Monster
Yep, Kimbo. Even Kimi made some characteristic errors in '08 which were borne out of fighting with the car. But didn't they say that Fairnando is some sort of miracle car developer? He should have it all sorted out, then
Re: Kimi Red Bull Rally Monster
Yeah, in a way it surprised me. I thought he is a driver without mistakes. But, seriously, he was always kind of consistent. Do you remember big mistakes by him? I only remember Canada 2005. Maybe he is in the spotlight even more being a Ferrari driver now and it makes his work harder.KIMBO1 wrote:I thought Domencali looked and sounded very sheepish after qaulifying today, can imagine what would have been said if that had been Kimi qualifying in 12th. Anyway, what Kubica can do in that Renault... that surprises me even more. I don't think that car is much better than the 2008 or 2009 ones were... so what could Alonso had done with them? Without cheating (Singapore 2008) and without luck (Japan 2008) not much...
Here's the perfect, the car developer Alonso for ya...
Re: Kimi Red Bull Rally Monster
But were they serious to believe that FA can do something that Kimi couldn't?
Kimi was cool but not obssesed..... Kimi didn't blah blah blah.....If the car was ok, he would deliver....
And FA is human too, and perhaps a hot blooded human who can be more prone to mistakes when in pressure even if he is a consistent and great driver....You know my childish wish for this year.....

Leo Turrini's blog after the quali - sorry for the poor google-translation, I tried to sort it out the best I could and left out the last paragraph altogether
Maybe Momo can be of help here if there is something really wrong?

THE RED'S TURKISH DISASTER

When witnessing Ferrari's Turkish disaster (Massa 8th, Alonso 12th) it makes you want to start raging. I promise to control myself but I'm not sure if I'm capable of doing so. To the point.
1) Congratulations to the Cangaroo. 66 Nelson, my trusted engineer, claims that Australia's curbstone will show Pimple Bill the limits. My God, I'm afraid there's some truth in that.
2) Seven poles for Red Bull and 3rd consecutive pole for Webber. What a fortune that they decided to throw Kimi and F60 overboard and start developing the car six months earlier. Otherwise we would be in positions 14 to even 20?
3) In any case, there they are. Kerpen's old uncle is in front of both Ferraris. Who was the brother again?
4) I am not a giant but I see a lot of dwarfs around me. I've been writing and writing that in F1 the driver is more crucial. I was afraid that the man of miracles, Alonso, would prove to be a shortcut to troubles. Indeed.
5th) Alonso will surely blame it on someone else if he can't go on repeating how he has never been in such a good car. It's even slower than Renault. Petrov!

So its gonna be a mix of Ravishing Black and White for Kimi Raikkonen this season
Re: Kimi Red Bull Rally Monster
I think because of the way Kimi was blamed for Ferrari failing in the last two seaons, Alonso thought he was just going to walk in there and walk away with the Championship and has found the car more difficult than he anticipated. When you think they stopped improving last years car half way through the season to comcentrate on this years, plus having the 'great car development powers of Alonso' they have'nt got very far have they.
I just wonder how bad the car was that Kimi had to put up with plus take the flak for it not performing well most of the time.
It really is good to be able to discuss these sort of things without being attacked - Kimi fans are the best it is always so friendly here

Re: Kimi Red Bull Rally Monster
Nikki, thank you!!!!
The only thing that bothers me is Webber on pole, for the 3rd time in a row... I hope Sebi could do something about it tomorrow!
