Well....seeing the Czechs in the final game is quite suprising...they might be especially good, when it's about penalty-shootout.
Did see the second third of Russia-Germany....can't decide, whether the Germans were so good this time, or whether Russia were weak in this game....

So Czechs against Russia tmr night....gonna be spicy....

(Sorry Iceman :p ) but I'm so happy Inter won tonight. I just thought that the team that knocked out both Chelsea and Barca deserved to win the whole thing. And even though the match wasn't exactly a classic, I thought they were the better team :)

Jose is King

Well done to Inter, even if I was hoping that Bayern would win. :)

New Treatment Could Give Michael Ballack Hope :D
Goal.com wrote:The World Cup dreams of Germany captain Michael Ballack may not be over after all, as a doctor has declared that new treatment methods could speed up the healing process of the 33-year-old.

Injured in the FA Cup final between Chelsea and Portsmouth last weekend, the midfielder was swiftly ruled out of any possible action in South Africa, but Dr. Markus Becker of the German Orthopedics Network has suggested that that decision was taken a little too quickly.

“With the help of a new treatment method could be accelerated healing significantly,” he told Bild. “I think that Ballack could in any case be at least partially be restored for the World Cup.”

The new method of treatment involves injecting an acid into the injured ligaments, and Nuernberg club doctor, Dr. Matthias Brem, has endorsed this technique, stating that it has helped one of his players make a remarkable recovery.

Oliver Bierhoff has hit back on behalf of the DFB (German FA), stating: “Dr. Muller-Wohlfahrt [the medic to the national side] is an internationally respected physician. We have every confidence in him. We have always fought for every player – even for Michael Ballack. Distance diagnoses do not make sense.”

Therefore, it seems that Germany will make no late u-turn on the Chelsea ace before naming their final squad.

Nummelin is the best defender of the games :)

Btw. Sweden won Germany and Czech lead Russia 2-0 when two of three is played.

Congrats to Nummelin! !yahoo:

Well...somehow it was a surprise to see the Czech becoming world champion instead of Russia.
Not so, that Sweden got third of the tournament...

All in all, it was a nice world championship, can't wait for the next year! :)

If they would have played another 90 minutes, then still Bayern would have failed to score, Inter was unbeatable yesterday. It will be very hard for Jose's succesor to do the same :zz:
