Re: 2010 Monaco Grand Prix
Hmmm... possibility of rain, lots of backmarkers making lots of traffic, heavy fuel loads will make the tires wear out quickly. I'd say we're in for a FANTASTIC weekend!
Requiescat in pace, Jules Bianchi

Weather Update - Dry race, but Saturday showers could cause headaches
Tomorrow, we start with bright conditions in the morning with partly cloudy skies. We don't anticipate any overnight rain, so we'll begin with a dry track so the drivers can refamiliarise themselves with the surroundings.
However, cloud is expected to build through midday and into the early afternoon. Showers are expected for the second practice and some may be heavy, more so towards the end of the afternoon. Temperatures will peak at 15 degrees Celsius.
Friday continues the theme of a bright but cold morning leading to a cloudy afternoon with a slight risk of rain.
Saturday promises to be a repeat of Thursday. Final practice is expected to be dry with cloudy skies and some sunny periods, but the threat of showers returns for qualifying - and that could turn an already difficult session with the traffic into a nightmare for the team strategists and drivers. Maximum temperature will be 14 degrees.
Conditions will improve to some extent on Sunday - at least in terms of the shower risk. A dry track is expected throughout the day with sunny intervals and partial cloud cover. It won't feel particularly warm out there despite better weather, with a top temperature of just 16 Celsius.

this is where the old one-shot quali would prove quite effective.....
Re: 2010 Monaco Grand Prix
what about getting the heat into the tyre issue then?JoostLamers wrote:Hmm not sure, with 'cold' temperatures like this weekend, I think no big issues will occur. And remember the teams are smart enough to chance things like tyre pressure and other things to keep the tyres alivephil1993 wrote:I'm surprised no one has really mentioned the tyres - Vettel wrecked his here in 2009 and was losing 4s/lap to Button on the softs. With heavy fuel surely this will become a real factor.
Last year they had their best time on 2nd or 3rd or even 4th. With colder temperature it will take even longer.
