Just a reminder: BBC coverage for Qualifying will start at 12:45pm due to extended General Election coverage.

Klien did a good job yesterday - hadn't driven an F1 car since January 2009 and went 0.5s faster than Senna

Friday press conference :

Code: Select all

GrandPrix.com wrote: Brawn: Michael and Nico ran different programmes

Mercedes team principal Ross Brawn was happy with progress on the opening day of practice for the Spanish Grand Prix, with Michael Schumacher looking more competitive than he has thus far in 2010 with third quickest time behind the pace-setting Red Bulls. Brawn confirmed, however, that Schumacher and Nico Rosberg, who was seventh, half a second behind, had run different programmes...

"...The drivers ran different programmes today with Nico making some different changes, so tonight we'll put all the packages together and see how we run the cars tomorrow..."

Weather: Bright, sunny, but overnight rain last night washed the rubber away.

Anyway, this race is gonna be quite poor. Last time there was an entertaining dry race here?

Monaco next weekend will be better Flag:##

Grid penalty probable for Virgin as they did not tell the FIA about their new gearbox ratios.

5 place penalty for Chandhok for a new gearbox

Weird crash for Petrov + Kobayashi is stuck in the gravel. Dropped a wheel on the white kerb.
