You must have missed the first lap then?

and also Coulthard did a great move on Liuzzi I think it was him anyway in pitlane.

Nah. Seriously I can't really remember many overtakes except Hamilton on Raikkonen.

well done MAssa, he was impervious today.
He manages the course of each stint with perfection, which most likely has been helped by MS over the last 18 months but also he extracts the performance out of the car so well.

The Maccas may be very close to Ferrari on one lap pace but in terms of race pace today Ferrari seemed roughly 0.4secs faster per lap.
Sad race for Kimi.

Well done for Massa and Lewis! Alonso should have been a little more modest in the first turn, but I understand him, it was his home-race, he wanted to win it in all costs

After the race Heidfeld said that he could have been on podium today (Spanish GP 2007). And that Fernando was slow on the second stint.
What was this supposed to mean? Was he implying that Kubica did not do a good job and he would have gone faster? Previous 3 races he was the one who took no chances and drove just to bring points to the finish.
I think he cannot stand having worse performance than Kubica and that's why he retired.

I think it was the foult of Massa not Alonso. It happened between first and second corner and Alonso was already ahead. I agree with what Alonso said during the post race conference that stewards should look at the issue, Massa should at least appologize. The poblem is that after Malaysia GP he has fixation on not being too soft and he behaves on the track like Schumi...

sure, its just the begining, Massa had his bad luck in Australia and Malaysia, Alonso in Bahrain and Spain, Kimi also in Spain. Lewis will most probably also get his portion of bad luck. But it will not be easy for ony of the top four this year. All four are extremely good.

No, Theisen said they would wait until after the season but implied that they are happy with Nick.

I don't agree he was slow, it's just that others have improved e.g. Kubica, Red Bul.

Massa manoeuvre was not very nice, but I'm happy to see Hamilton in the lead of F1 championship, and McLaren in the lead of F1 team's.

My opinion on the race: EXELLENT JOB MASSA, in malaysia, it was awful, in bahrain, he won, but not with a big lead, and in spain, he reached the 20 seconds, but then started driving safely, so great improvement, but as for kimi, it was a disapoiting race for him, and as for hamilton, great great great man, 4 races, 4 podiums, but still not 1 first place, but it will be soon, and as for alonso, he can do much much better, and as for coulthard, great job, for renault, they were a bit better than last races, honda, as always, still awful, nick heidfeld, well, it was the pitlane mistake, but he could have made better, kubica was fastet, but good job kubica, his starting to improve.

so i rate the race a 5/10 (because of raikonnen's accident)
GO KIMIIII....

Massa

Post by Bobdredds » 13 May 2007, 23:06

A great win for Felipe, the only mistake I could see was his slow start in the warm up, other than that he drove perfectly. As I suspected Ferrari now have a second over McLaren in race trim but credit to McLaren for leading both championships even though they have won only 1 race.

Great defense by Felipe and Fernando should take the consequences without complaining, it was a marginal move at best and relied on Massa giving way and he didnt. It was racing and nothing else and if drivers stop doing those moves then we will have a problem

Ciao Bob
