I want to see these statues!!!Kimi Räikkönen got a statue to China
Kimi Räikkönen and other F1-drivers who have won the Chinese GP as well as Bernie Ecclestone have gotten statues to the park next to the Shanghai track, AP-news agency says.
Ecclestone was present when the statues were revealed on Saturday. The Chinese respect for authority was shown in the fact that Ecclestone's statue was 1,9 meters tall whereas the drivers' statues were only 1,7 meters tall. In nature Ecclestone is 159 cm tall.
Räikkönen celebrated victory in China in his championship year 2007. In addition to him the Chinese GP has been won before this season by Rubens Barrichello (2004), Fernando Alonso (2005), Michael Schumacher (2006), Lewis Hamilton (2008) and Sebastien Vettel (2009).

I am sure that Wolfie will found this link from one finnish forum. This is old story, but I guess that some of you are interested about this. Sorry, this is too long to translate by me.

Re: Kimi Red Bull Rally Monster
I opened the link to a new tab and when I looked at it after a while I had already forgotten that Heikki was supposed to be in there. I spent a long while pondering why there's an old man from the Soviet Union in there with the young F1 drivers. Then I read the names and well, some hilarity ensued ...Kinga wrote:LOL @ especially Heikki

Thanks for your input guys , I guess driving off the road simply is the best phrase to use. I'll have to remember "excursion" also.Boudica wrote:Of course I don't know anything about Finnish, however if you mention the words "drive out" or driving off the road" perhaps the English equivalent you guys are looking for is "excursion".apple wrote:There is no direct translation I guess. Re: Kimi Red Bull Rally Monster
Nothing new (I think it was in another thread), Benoit Nogier is praising Kimi for his driving this weekend and the fact that he beat other drivers in pace and speed.
The article also mentions the fact that Ogier will participate in Rally New Zealand.

I try, finnish people are allowed to laugh me
Team boss praises Kimi: situation came by driving.
Citroen junior team's boss Benoit Nogier praises performance of Kimi Raikkonen in Turkey's rally. F1 champion was 5th in the race.
Kimi drove his best race in this season. Situation was not get only by suspensions: he won some competitors just by driving, what tells his development by rally driver. This is really promising thing for whole team, Nogier told.
Team boss fortified also that only Sebastien Ogier take part to next race in NZ with him. Kimi don't travel to there. At the beginning NZ was not in his team calendar.
