Kubica shocked and saddened by Polish tragedy
Kubica also resigned from the start in Rally Citta di Forli in Bolonia (11/04)
Source : F1.comThe Renault team and their Polish driver Robert Kubica have expressed their condolences to the Polish nation following Saturday’s plane crash that cost the lives of the country’s President Lech Kaczynski, his wife and many others.
Kaczynski and 95 others, including many top defence officials and public figures, died when the jet came down en route to a war memorial service in Russia.
“I am deeply shocked and saddened by the news of this tragedy, which is unprecedented for our nation,” said Kubica. “A day of remembrance for the victims of Katyn has become one of deep mourning for the people of Poland. I send my sincerest condolences to the families of the victims and my thoughts are with every one of my fellow Poles, who have all been deeply affected by this tragedy.”

If the Korean race is cancelled, what is the possibility that it could be replaced with another race? Has that ever been done before, and what could be some alternative venues if it were to happen?

In all seriousness though, it can't really be a European race as it is in the middle of the 'Asian leg'. Hence I suggest Adelaide.
Re: 2010 Formula 1 Season - Official Discussion Thread
They'd just cancel it and not have a race, unless they cancelled it so long in advance they had time to prepare for a GP somewhere else. In 1997 they replaced Estoril with Jerez, in 1998 or 99 they had a race in China planned between Brazil and San Marino, which never took place and wasn't replaced.
Re: 2010 Formula 1 Season - Official Discussion Thread
a race in chinese-taipei (taiwan) would be nice.......but it will never happen as long as the shanghai chinese gp is in the calendar
Re: 2010 Formula 1 Season - Official Discussion Thread
I think that the Korean GP will not be replaced Icy, that too with already 18 other races being present.
I think they should have a Kart race instead, atleast we will see some overtaking, and with the championship on line, it would be great

Lola & Prodrive both confirmed today that they will not submit an entry to the F1 grid for 2011. Therefore, with the deadline looming tomorrow, only Durango, a former GP2 team that pulled out late 2009 with financial issues, have submitted an entry, although it is thought that many are remaining silent much like Manor GP did in 2009

Bernie: 20 races in 2011. Current 19 (Nurburgring not Hockenheim) + India

Re: 2010 Formula 1 Season - Official Discussion Thread
25 races in one season, that's going to be a long one. I'm not sure if the teams will agree on this one. It means that between March and November they will ben constantly on the road. I think 25 is too much. Especially as those additional races are held at those ultra modern tracks. Or those street circuits. If Bernie wants 25 races, please fill the remaining races with traditional tracks, like San Marino or the A1 Ring.
