I bet you would have reversed your opinion if we had Massa/Alonso/X in Hamilton's position and Hamilton in petrov's place.

@newtrex .. thanks buddy :)
If you start talking like that you know you're wrong but okay, It would have been a different story if Petrov was alongside Hamilton, but he was behind Lewis. Plus the fact that Petrov didn't say anything about illegal moves by Hamilton.

All drivers who qualified from 8th to 12th retired or didn't start (DLR) :lol:

As can be seen from the list, the Renault was way slower than Macca on the straight, hence Petrov's only chance was staying in Lewis tow and try to out-brake him at the end of the straight. Hence, Lewis should have been penalised for doing the jig on the straight :thumbsup:

Yes, and the lack of consistency was one of reasons that made Massa loses the championship on 2008. This is why I can't understand the heavy criticism about his performance this year. He is doing good race starts, gaining many positions (except in Bahrein) and being consistent, with few errors. In Malaysia, he suffered with low tire grip, that only improved when he changed the tires to the soft ones.

That's what I've cristicized more than once. People just don't give the guy credit for his performances. Now the championship lead is not deserved 'cause he had been consistent, but not always been the fastest? Wake up guys, happened many times before. What about Button after Turkey last year?
I think we can all agree on the fact that Massa is not the best driver in the field, but I consider him one of the top drivers anyway. I hope he can show some strong performances this year and will beat Alonso on several occasions.

I dunno why im wrong in this? Who knows without that weaving petrov might had passed him ''hmm''

He passed hamilton the lap before when he didnt weave. Lewis had to weave to keep petrov behind. Its in the rules your allowed one defensive move, and then you can move back onto the line. Not weave 4 times on the damn straight.

But hey, johnny herbert was the advisor to the steward. So no pro-british bias there :roll::

Otherwise, Lewis' performance was identical to massa's. They both finished 14 places ahead of their qualifying positions, except lewis made a load of pointless overtaking manouveurs and the louise fans' hopes up when in reality, massa matched him in race result.

Shame nando's clutch went. He was faster than the both of them without it ;)

So basically you agree that Hamilton should had been penalize.I didn't see any british bias in the first place .. just plain ignorance from stewards. Unfortunately it is hard for Hamilton fans to accept it. :p

How was Alonso faster than Hamilton? ... IMO Hamilton was better than Alonso even before the gear issues.

Hamilton was the best of the three and made the race entertaining. People complained in 2008 with all the penalties that flew about ruining the championship and now people want penalties! Let them race! If there were more drivers like Lewis then the races would be really entertaining as he just went for it. Massa just followed Lewis into Turn 1 and from there looked mediocre until he got the softs. Even then he took quite a few laps to get past Button whose tyres were shot.

Alonso did well considering his clutch problems and was just as fast as FM at the start

See, for me, Petrov is moving to follow Hamilton, not Hamilton moving to block Petrov. Big difference.

Hamilton the Messi of F1??? Nowhere near, if he was he'd have won the first three races by the length of the London marathon.

No one is clear cut above the rest: You have the best ones (Hamilton, Vettel, Alonso), then the really good ones (Button, Massa, Schumacher (judging by 10 pace), Rosberg, Webber, Kubica) and so on

Alonso started the race with no clutch. It didnt come on mid race, he had the problem on the way to the grid; its in his post race interviews. And im a cynical british bloke; the only time the stewards got things right was every single penalty lewis had in 2008, including the spa penalty.

Also, Alonso set the second fastest lap, just under 2 tenths from webber. He was half a second quicker than lewis in the race;

http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2010/04/04/m ... test-laps/

So really, lewis isnt fast in races. Setting only 3 fastest laps in his whole career in at least 2 years of a top car, then the second half of 2009 and 2010. Not really very impressive. I wish jenson would get upto speed =/

For me, Massa's block on Webber in Australia was much more dangerous. They were going at well over 180mph when he cut right infront and nearly caused a monumental accident

Danger ?!? What are we discussing here ? The main issue is rules: what is allowed and what`s not. Period. So, Hamilton should have been penalized for weaving too many times. On the other hand he never put Petrov in danger so why punish the guy for racing ? Want to blame someone, blame the brains that wrote that rule, not one of them ever put their arse in a racing car anyway. I think it was a nice racing moment, doesn`t matter if you like Hamilton or dislike him, as a fan i want to see things like this. Get over it.....
