Logically ''hmm'' won't work!

They will destroy the tyres before the end of the race :O . And, in my opinion, those team you quote ( maybe not STR ) lack of downforce a lot, so to keep a "good" pace and make this strategies pay off, the drivers will have to attack a lot and wear the tyres more than front runners' tyres. And a car lacking of downforce AND lacking of mechanical grip ( thanks mainly to those tyres ) is easily 10 sec off the pace!. A ( good ) example of that situation can be the Australian GP in 2009 when Vettel and Rosberg suddenly lost 5 secondes to Kubica after destroying their rear tyres. And the RedBull and the Williams were good cars aerodynamically!

However, those kind of strategies, I think, can be good for midfield cars or front runners :)

If Massa make the pole, then I think he will win! If not, Alonso is in a good shape to win this race!

I'm expecting the teams to be in this order (teams in brackets are unconfirmed).

Tier 1: Ferrari, McLaren
Tier 2: Red Bull, Mercedes
Tier 3: Williams, Renault
Tier 4: Toro Rosso, Sauber, Force India
Tier 5: Lotus, Virgin, Hispania

i agree, monaco wont be a bad place to do it (as long as they manage their tyres well), not necessarily first lap, but still it wont be too bad a gamble

This gives me visions of, what was it, 2005? when Alonso's tires were just completely gone and he was desperately trying to keep the others from overtaking.

Still, that sort of thing makes the races exciting and demonstrates the drivers' skills. I definitely want to see some crazy strategies!

Is there still a 107% rule, cause that could mean problems for the Virgins, Lotusses and Hispania's (and Stefans)
