Right, He's been out of a Formula 1 car since 06, they have changed a hell a lot. In 05 and 06, Nando beat him. Vettel, Lewis and other good talents have appeared, who have a better feel for the car, Schumacher hasn't been in a 2009 car yet.

But yeah, he's still the best.:

That's just speculation, it's unrealistic to say that he's just the best, while they didn't even drive 1 meter.. Jeez

That Fernando beat him in 2005 is just a big myth.
The 2005 Ferrari was about as good as the Red Bull that year. No chance to compete even for race wins in that package.
Fernando fought the championship battle against Kimi and won, because the McLaren constantly broke down.

You should at least get your facts right before you spray the poision :O

I think Alonso is the best racer since Michael left and regarding the fact that Michael´s biggest strength as a driver was to maximise the benefits of multiple stop strategies (which are now gone) and Alonso is traditionally awesome on full tanks, I still think that Fernando is the best, despite Michael´s return.

I agree.

2005 : c**p Ferrari and McLaren borke = Alonso lucky
2006 : Schumacher is very unlucky in the 2 last races (example : suzuka : Schumi sets the record lap : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZXenTFrC38) = Alonso lucky again

Alonso is the best since Schumi left but his problem is that he change too many time his team.

Like Martin Brundle said, on equal car now, Alonso beat Schumi.

But I think that on a whole season, Schumi is still better than Alonso.

You may remember that Alonso also had an engine failure in Monza caused by the fact that they had to rev the engine harder because of him being penalised on the grid - one of the most unfair penalties ever.

Yes in 2005 the Ferrari was bad but Michael did not drive well (Australia - he pushed Heidfeld on the grass, China - he crashed into Albers going to the grid and spun out under SC) It wasn't a vintage year and he did not deserve the title.

And Monaco 2006 ? :zz:
Schumi get penalized but we never knew, and we will never know if it was a volontary or unvolontary move.

And, in Monaco, you cannot overtake.

To me, it looks like such a simple mistake and he had time to either correct it or to damage the car: if he broke the wing or brushed the tyre against the wall then yes.

I agree with you on that one phil, it was either a deliberate action or very stupid by him to park the car and make it look like it was deliberate.
But I think it was 100% deliberate, not planned before his run, but rather a quick decision when he realized that Alonso was on another quick lap and he couldn´t react to it anymore.
Anyway, he is to blame for it, but well sh.. happens :O

One think i can say is whether u like schumi or not,u known him or not you can't igrone him and if time is good he can prove his critics in 2010 so as micheal said instead of talking we look it at the track :n
