I grew up with a playstation console. PS1, especially PS2 and now PS3. I can't imagine another console

i prefer a ps3.......

i'm one of the oldies, so i've started with the nes (nintendo entertainment system), then the super-nes, then a ps1 and a ps2. maybe wait a couple more months, hopefully the ps3's price will go down 15 to 30%.

The system prices are pretty much rock bottomed for at least 10 months. I would get a new one off of e-bay in the weeks after christmas.

I have both and play both at least 10 to 30 hours a week depending on how much my GF has planned for our weekends. Here is my criteria for how I decide which system to buy games for...

If it is a game where I will play online then I get it for the 360 but if it is not then I get it for the PS3.

Need for speed - 360
NHL 2010 - 360
Mirror's edge - PS3
Sonic - PS3
F1 - PS3 even if it is a 2 year old game it is still better than playing on the Wii
DVD movies - PS3 the menus and remote is soooo much better on the PS3, So is netflix.
BluRays - PS3 can't be done on the 360.

I like the controller better on the PS3 because I got the button extenders. The PS3 games tend to have a finer touch on the analog sticks and they tend to be 1080 resolution more often which my TV likes better than 720. The Playstation network flat out sucks and if I'm going to be playing online games for hours on end I get the game for the 360 every time. The bluetooth headset only option on the PS3 pisses me off and if the controller or headset starts to get low on batteries, plugging everything in, linking another headset and controller is just a hassle. I don't have a 12 foot USB mini cord. The 360 charge and play system with the wired headset is the only way to go for online games... BUT!!!! the PS3 is a better system in my opinion because of one simple thing... Gran Tourismo 5. It won't be on the 360 and no matter how many games they release to try and dilute the simulation driving game market nothing will ever be as good as GT5.

O' yea... One other thing... The PS3 is a 12 year console which can handle 3d games and every piece of technology due to come out until 2018 and most games only use about 30% of the processor HP of the system but the 360 is already outdated with its DVD only drive and is pretty much tapped out by today’s games.

I would suggest getting them both and accepting that your personal enjoyment is worth a payckeck or two every now and then.

I grew up with PS's as well, but XBox is just better, more options and game producers are more happy with the XBox than with the PS3, and that was very important because some games come on the XBox and not on the PS3 (Forza, especially)

I started in 2003 with a Nintendo 64, then a PSone (2005), then I got a PS2 (2007), and last year my cousin gave me a Game Boy Colour, and I bought a NES for $10, and this year I got a secondhand Xbox, and my brother a DS, and next year I'm getting a PSP. I'll most likely get a PS3 in 2011 (for GT5 and F1).

PS3, believe me, I was having X360 for half year, before MS banned it. Now I'm PS3 user, and it's better one hundred times! And you can't download games from the Internet which is the most important, everybody pays for games. :P

If you like racing games - this year PS3 will get Gran Turismo 5

PC here. I have no console, but its actualy cheaper to buy a PC rather than a console(if you buy each component separetly).
