From F1-Live.com
Giancarlo Fisichella says he wants to stick around in Formula One for at least four more years.
The Italian, although enduring a difficult season for Renault so far in 2007, is setting his sights on countryman Riccardo Patrese's long-standing record of 256 grands prix.
Already a ten-year veteran with more than 180 races under his belt, surpassing Patrese's record would see Fisichella appearing on the grid beyond 2011.
He told Gulf News: "I want to beat the world record before I consider leaving the circuit."
Fisichella said he also hoped to see out his career at Renault, even though test driver Nelson Piquet Jr is impatiently eyeing the seat.
The Roman, who has also driven for Minardi, Jordan and Sauber, explained: "I will hopefully retire while competing for Renault because they are the best team I have had."
Just saw this on another forum and thought seeing we were talking about it I'd share it  ...

Hi, countryman, welcome!! "Frei Galvão"...:frown: told sunday that Barrichello is guaranteed to the next season...but who knows? I hope so.
Guaranteed to be at Honda next season!? Is that a blessing or a curse?gutobr wrote:Flavio_F1 wrote:I think Barrichello, as I heard from yesterday´s Tv transmission, he said that he´s guaranteed to the next season. As for Coulthard, nothing is guaranteed

It breaks my heart to see him hug Massa after Massa's race wins... IT COULD'VE BEEN YOU!

I drove for Ferrari for six long tough years and I am very grateful to them, for the team helped me achieve two second place championships, nine victories, twenty-five second place finishes, and twenty-one third place finishes – not mentioning, the pole positions, the fastest laps, and the five constructor titles that I had helped them win. I learned a lot with them and from Schumacher too. I am leaving Ferrari very eager for the future. I feel like I am breaking Formula 1 patterns again. At 33, I feel more competitive than ever. And for the first time, there is a real opportunity for me to improve on what was already good so that now I can reach my fourth objective: a Formula 1 title.
AAARGH!!
