Mixed feelings over here. Actually I wanted Vatanen to win the voting. But I'm sure Todt will do good too

FOTA welcomes Todt into new role
Spoiler:
23 October 2009

The Formula One Teams Association (FOTA) has welcomed Jean Todt into his new role as FIA President. As well as congratulating the Frenchman on his victory, FOTA - which represents all teams on the current grid - is positive that much progress can be made over the course of the next four years.

With Todt replacing the retired Max Mosley as President of the sport's governing body, Luca di Montezemolo - a former Ferrari colleague of Todt - spoke of the 63-year-old's triumph.

"I would like to send my best wishes to Jean Todt in his new role, as I have always appreciated his ability, dedication and commitment," the FOTA Chairman said. "I am sure that, under his guidance, the federation will be rejuvenated and will restore a climate open to dialogue and constructive collaboration with the teams and FOTA, thus ensuring stability of the regulations and the whole environment.

"Formula One is about to embark on a new phase: all the stakeholders must work together with an eye to the future, to increase the credibility and interest generated by this sport, tackling the technical and environmental challenges that await it, while keeping unchanged those characteristics that have made it one of the most popular disciplines on the world stage."

"I extend my best wishes to Jean Todt as he takes on this demanding but crucial role," added John Howett, FOTA's Vice Chairman. "I am convinced that Jean Todt's presidency represents an opportunity for all of Formula One's stakeholders to unite under his leadership and work together to strengthen our sport.

"FOTA is looking forward to supporting him to broaden the appeal of our sport among fans and sponsors while respecting Formula One's great heritage to which he has contributed enormously."

The thing I hate with Todt is that he's been one of the most successful F1 bosses ever, has a fit young wife cough shes not in it for the money cough (sarcasm); But he always walks round looking like such a miserable bastard. He smiles less than Kimi.

This isnt ironic. And Iceman, why you say Ferrari WCC 2010??

The nomination of Todt will advantage only Brawn GP and the 3 drivers system.

And , again, Jean todt is very great, he is french, and he has make many things for Ferrari and F1

Not Really! Check his Curriculum Vitae Image

Ohh no! i don't want Schumi to take charge of F1 *F1 is just too much messed up* :zz: ..Ross Brawn would be prefect man and deadly but exciting choice would be Ron Dennis

I hope Ari Vatanen will be given the charge of WRC ...it needs lot of work .. all good is fked by Max Mosley.
