BBC in Freeview Red Button cutbacks, introducing Freeview HD to London and Manchester
BBC Red Button Blog

This means that broadcasts of Free Practice may be affected next year on Freeview.

NOTE: These chances only apply to Freeview, not the BBC website, Freesat, Sky, Virgin or any other service.

BBC to axe Channel 302 and 303 for Freeview...

Post by phil1993 » 21 Oct 2009, 16:28

This means that there is a high probabilty than any people that want to watch F1 practice on Freeview on the BBC now can't

Thanks BBC :<>:

EDIT: They're keeping 301 and sometimes F1 practice is shown there rather than 302, so there's some hope...

That's really annoying, I've really enjoyed watching the practice sessions this season with the 5Live Extra Commentary, damn you BBC.

That means that almost everyone in Europe has to watch the FPs on stupid streams with incomprehensible languages now...

News from 5 Live Twitter on the Red Button cutbacks:
I think we will be safe. The new plans should only affect the onboard or highlights stream but will try to find out more info.

BBC will probably not broadcast the Abu Dhabi GP in HD. I'm guessing BBC will put it on their HD channel. But it's not on their schedule
