My GP for 2009
Re: My GP for 2009
General admission means you wont be in a Grandstand, you will have to find a spot at the side of the track somewhere.

Okay. Spa is a big place so maybe I can stand at Les Combes (or Eau Rouge)

You can't go to eau rouge when in GA, and better bring those things where you can sit on. And I agree that you after this want to sit at GP's.
But it has got something nice. You're not in a fixed spot and you can visit a very large portion of the track.

Anyone going to Monza?
I'm going.. again... (just sunday... my calendar has too many activities already to pay 3-days in a hotel)

Without wanting to sound like a nagging parent, think about where you're planning on sitting/standing before you head off!
I'm not sure how close you can actually get to Les Combes with General Admission tickets. Obviously you can stand alongside the Kemmel straight, it's really popular, but you're not likely to see much action other than slipstreaming. And only for a couple of seconds as the cars shoot by.
As far as I know, you can't get to Eau Rouge with a GA ticket. You get a great view of it from the F1 Village though, a lot of people choose to watch from there. Maybe a GA ticket will get you near the Bus Stop chicane? Worth finding out innit?
Of course you might decide to head to Pouhon like I did last year (see my Spa 2008 thread!), for a great view at what most of the drivers say is now the most challenging corner on the track. Just a suggestion!
Whatever, hope you have a fantastic time! You're gonna love it!

hehe... I went to spa today for some trackspotting. Bodyguards everywhere ! But I loled at the fact you could walk on the circuit if you entered it from Combes. No guards there at all
