Japan in F1 - Suzuka back; Is Fuji better?
Re: Japan in F1 - Suzuka back; Is Fuji better?
Suzuka was only beaten to the top spot by Spa Francorchamps in Belgium. The circuit boasts some superb corners, such as the Degner corner, 130R, Spoon and the Esses.
What does Fuji have? a big straight and a lot of tight corners. F1 cars would look slow on the Fuji layout, especially on television.

Suzuka, one of the best circuits on the calander. Much better than any Valencia or Singapore. I'll probbably include Abu Dhabi (spelling) as it looks like the same thing will happen.

Suzuka is one of the best racing tracks in the world. So easy vote. The only thing that was special about Fuji was the mega straight.
Re: Japan in F1 - Suzuka back; Is Fuji better?
Suzuka is good but it's hard to overtake and Fuji is better because it's easy to overtake and rain is near the track

Suzuka is simply a brilliant track that really exploits the full abilities of an F1 car. It has everything, medium speed S turns at the start, the scary first Degner (spelling) turn, the tight Hairpin, the downhill blast to the multi-apexed Spoon Curve, the long straight, the death-defying 130R and the triangle at the end for good measure. Fuji: Long straight, ummm... dumb chicane right at the end of the back stretch... long straight. BRING BACK SUZUKA BERNIE!

Fuji's had 3 classics? Suzuka's had many more. Suzuka you have 89, 90, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 00, 03, 05 which were all terrific races. Fuji is also fairly easy for drivers and has terrible access for spectators, Suzuka is a challenge for everyone and provides great racing. Its the better track by miles.

Re: Japan in F1 - Suzuka back; Is Fuji better?
I grew up watching alot of memorable races at Suzuka so i'm going to, of course, pick Suzuka. I just love how free flowing the track is compared to the rather boring Fuji track. Fuji just reminds me of Indianapolis...great facility but just a boring track. Either way i'm all about any track that haven't been fully touched by Herman Tilke.
Re: Japan in F1 - Suzuka back; Is Fuji better?
In suzuka, races are bad. In 2000, people said the race was a classic, but the race was boring. No overtake, no surprise...
And, in 2003, the race was bad too.
But in Fuji, in 76, the race under wet was great, with action (lauda,...).In 2007, the quali and the race were great, with for example Massa vs Kubica. And in 2008, the races was again a classic, with Kimi vs hamilton at the start, Massa vs hamilton, Massa vs Bourdais, Kubica vs Raikkonen, and Massa vs Webber.
So, Fuji is much better than Suzuka.
