Why Jenson Button can be World Champion in 2009 ?

Jenson Button is beating everyone in this 2009 season... Why do you think is that happening ??

Button is not a super-talented driver, but still pretty good, better than Barrichello nowadays. Doesn't make lot of mistakes, and the best car of the season is giving him the championship. Like Damon Hill in 1996.

After 9 long years he really deserves it.

he's the greatest driver but not a bad driver but i reckon its mostly the car.
because we saw him go literally nowhere with Honda last year and look at him now.

Why are people so surprised? In 2003 he was beating Villeneuve, in 2004 he was a superstar, the 3rd best driver that season behind the dominant Ferraris, dragging his BARs to podiums and that race in Hockenheim where he drove one handed yet overtook Alonso. 2005 was poor due to the fuel thing which wasnt his fault, but he still drove the wheels off of that BAR and in 2006 he was regularly beating Barrichello and drove masterfully in Budapest. In 2007 the car was a dog, but he still drove well, only 2008 was his bad year but even then he was still driving the wheels off the car, as was Barrichello, but I only saw one mistake from Button last year when he went off at Silverstone (who didn't) - the car just wasnt top 8 material, hence why he was only 18th with 3 points. He deserves the success and if he cannot prove his critics with several lights to flag victories, going around the outside and inside of Vettel, passing Hamilton and driving the best qualifying laps of the year, then I don't know what will.

well tbh, i didnt know about anything before the 2008 season (cause i never watched it then, shocking i know, sorry

) i only saw Button not getting anywhere last season with Honda nothing before that, so from what you've just said, yes he deserves it. and i'm not shocked that he's making the most out of a brilliant car, good on him.

But he didn't make the most of being in a bad car. Barrichello managed 3rd in Silverstone. Sutil nearly got 4th in Monaco. Jenson is supposedly the best F1 driver in the wet but when it rained and he could show his true talent he didn't do anything.

I'm not a Jenson basher, i like him as a person and he is doing very well this year.
