TA there are supposedly tickets available but they're on websites I don't trust and going for several hundred quid anyway. Barring miracles I ain't going, I'll have to endure talk from people I know at school going to this year's download festival.

meh, ignore them. most people at my school go to reading festival, but i hate the kind of atmosphere there.

The download festival is full of wannabe Metallica or AC/DC groups, I don't wanna go there. Reading Festival has a great line up, its expensive though and I'm too young anyway.

Maybe in a couple of years I'll hitch up with friends and go Reading, its only a 90 minute drive from where I live.

Good idea. I have no intention of going, but Its pretty near to me - (15 mins by train then walk/30mins by car (readings a hell of a town to negotiate by car - loads of 1 way streets))

Trust me, Reading's piss compared to London. I've driven in both.. :p

To me, music has gone quite downhill recently. reading is the best music festival in Britain, but it's too much of a mix of stuff to pay 100s of £s to go to. I'd end up hating half the stuff I saw.
