Apollo 11 40th Anniversary: Moon Landing

Post by Ali » 21 Jul 2009, 14:02

Forty years ago, men from Earth began for the first time to leave our home planet and journey to the Moon.

On July 20, 1969, Apollo 11 commander Neil Armstrong stepped out of the lunar module and took "one small step" in the Sea of Tranquility, calling it "a giant leap for mankind."

You can visit http://www.wechoosethemoon.org and recap what was happened in Apollo's journeys to the Moon. You can watch more videos on NASA's official YouTube page -> http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p ... 8F3523B151

And fourty years later, we now have new photos from NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, or LRO delivered to us. You can see them for yourself: http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/LRO/m ... sites.html

And of course the big, if not the biggest, conspiracy theory of all time: NASA in fact didn't land on the Moon. You can learn more about it from Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_hoax. If you want to "bust" the theory, you can watch Mythbusters' Hoax Episode: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p ... +moon+hoax and of course use NASA web page dedicated to the hoax.

I believe that it did happen. Simply put, to make a hoax so big and so airtight borders on the impossible...

I think the first landing was a fraud, but the rest was real. Russians were ready for landing in september, and americans in november... so... they faked one in july... and the space race is over....

Yes, they did. Every piece of so called "evidence" has been debunked by actual scientists.

fraud......we still haven't conquered our very own planet where we live, even the deepest depths of the waters we still haven't conquered. what more a satellite thats many, many miles away from us - in space. (sorry to the pro believers, just my opinion :) )
