The thing is, whereas Bird Flu was only bird-human spread, swine flu is a developed form of bird flu: as pigs are susceptable to disease and swine flu is able to be spread between humans

7 people have died from swine flu.
125 people are SUSPECTED of dying from swine flu, not confirmed. This is Mexico: an LEDC so information is sketchy and often exaggerated.

can't get me - only places that have a population over 500 is probably over 50km away.

This'll go like SARS or Bird Flu, make a huge big racket, stur up the media, then disappear for the next 50? years
I'm not scared of Swine Flu, i believe that if i get bitten by a pig, it gives me special powers. :p

Swine flu may be less potent than first feared
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090502/ap_ ... _swine_flu

The name was changed because it isn't really swine flu but a mixture of a couple of influenzas. Still some people were panicking so much that for instance in Egypt they started slaughtering their 300 000 pigs for nothing.

It will become a pandemic if media will keep on exaggerating the story. Went to a local shop, saw 6 newspapers and 5 of them had this flu story on the cover page.

Mexico has revised down the suspected death toll from swine flu from 176 to 101, indicating that the outbreak may not be as bad as was initially feared.
