Well, it was visible, that they had hard to fight. Probably, the absence of Nummelin did contribute a lot to this bad result. And why wasn't Rinne the keeper today? That was quite surprising to see Vehanen....

Finns are not so surprised that Vehanen was on the goal. He has been at least as good as Rinne. I am a quite sure that Rinne plays next game.

Italy got one point from USA  Italy and Kazakstan drops to B serie.

Villa reject £20m bid for Milner

Quote:
Aston Villa have turned down Manchester City's £20m bid for their England international James Milner.

"We have received an offer from Manchester City for James Milner and this has been firmly rejected," said a Villa spokesman on Wednesday.

"We plan to sit down with James and his representative after the World Cup to agree a new long-term deal and this remains our position."

IIHF world championship 2010 quarterfinal games today!!!

All four matches will promise tremendous action. Who will reach semifinal?

Finland? Czechs Republic?
Sweden? Denmark?

I think, Finland and Sweden will win the games in the afternoon.

Canada? Russia?
Switzerland ? Germany?

To predict the winners of the evening matches isn't easy. I mean, Canada, Russia are the all time favorites for the title, Switzerland and Germany are the surprise in this quarterfinal....

I'm really looking forward to it and for sure, I will cheer for ->>> Image

I guess that Sweden and Russia win wihtout problems.
I hope that Finland win, but it will not be so easy but all is in our own hands.
Switzerland and Germany - hmm. Swiss are being better but Germany might cause a surprise.

Next round: Fin - Swe and Rus - Ger

Rinne is on goal and Hietanen plays. Good that he didn't injured badly by Kovaltshuk's hit. Nummelin and Kukkonen are both ok.

I hope 'our' Suárez won't go to Man Utd. They will have to pay Ajax €40m if they want him :D

Man Utd will sell Carrick, Anderson & Berbatov to get the money for Suarez, but Fergie said they don't want to change the team too much

I thought Chamakh > Arsenal was a done deal already

Btw.: Ajax declined a €12m offer from Everton for defender Jan Vertonghen.. Ajax is hot :
