Japanese Grand Prix 2010
Re: Japanese Grand Prix 2010 *SUPER SUNDAY*
I'm also disappointed with Massa's performance, he shouldn't have qualified so bad, but truth be told Rosberg didn't leave him room on the track while they were side by side. Either he crashes out Rosberg, or goes on the grass and hopes not to crash anyone out. Didn't turn out. Massa is far from satisfying this year but let's not criticise him for things he didn't have fault in.

I intend to do a list of drivers for the magazine season review and I have to say that out of the 27 of 2010, I think he's hovering on the fringes of the top 10 so far. He's only come close to winning once, very disappointing.dacer wrote:Maybe he was playing F1 2010, with "no damage" mode activated!!alex1369 wrote:...
but i can only say WTF was Massa thinking in turn1 - he tought that the grip on grass is better - incredible what a mistake
I don't like Massa, I think is worst driver in current top 12. He spent all season more worried about not be ferrari nº2, than trying to win any.
He never like me, and this seasson he is very very bad

Speaking of Massa, I think that he is a good 'middle-grid' racer. Not that he drives well in the middle, but that it is his place in accordance to his natural abilities.
In my eyes he is one of those 'artificial' would-be champions - he can be one if whole team works in his favour and he is led by his race engineer and team bosses to the victory. He can win a lot from the 1st row, but he is somehow 'invisible' when he needs to fight from the middle.
ferrari did a great job trying to make him WDC in 2008, but he still managed to blew it. And even then I said that it was his only chance when everything was in favour.
And this year he can't even perfom as a proper N2. I wouldn't b surprised if he is not racing in 2011, but rather have some kind of 'honourable' excuse to: 1. shift to another series 2. be a 'eternal' test driver

The start saw some incredible stupidity, Massa was far too aggressive and Petrov was plain idiotic moving over like that. That said Kobayashi was superb, without him the race would have been rubbish. He made the race today.

Re: Japanese Grand Prix 2010 *SUPER SUNDAY*
these events are also showing the diff between the way Massa is handling himself compared to how kimi handled himself when they are/were both no longer looked upon favorably by the team boss. Kimi carried himself very well even when the team kicked him down time and again before his departure...Massa on the other hand, is crumbling like a tower of lego that is built too top heavy.
I believe the thing that did Massa in was that he was asked to step aside even though he was still mathematically in the fight. He finally knows his place now and if I heard correctly, one of the commentators on star sports said that the rumour is Massa may be moving to another team...so that may bewhy Massa isn't bothering too much to "help" the team - which is a world of diff to Kimi's approach.

Alguersuari's reaction to being overtaken was pathetic, the only explanation I can find for what he did was that he tried to spin Kobayashi round in a fit of road rage. Cost him a points finish as well, very poor driving.

Sauber are slowly cruising up to Force India's WCC total, still 23 points behind but not impossible.

it's the first track Vettel wins twice. I am sure that he will be the World Champion, if he doesn't make any mistakes in the last 3 races

I think the stewards got the decisions right actually. Massa was an idiot but did get squeezed.
Re: Japanese Grand Prix 2010 *SUPER SUNDAY*
The race marked Massa's first retirement of the season, meaning that no driver has completed every race

Sadly the memory changes quickly, all of a sudden it's forgotten that Massa has actually been put to place and has nothing to fight for - I think the team let him down so the team might not be as high on his list as it was before.
Massa is performing like a driver no 2 is expected to perform and he gets too much critisism - even when he wasn't at fault
To be changed soon - rko281, where are you??? LOL

About Petrov, is it me or did he always make a superb start at each GP ( even if it ends in the barrier here ) ?
