Well, I noticed thatZack wrote:Fresh rubberMavF1 wrote:Wasn't that light a touch by Webber here really, but I think with the Monza incident you're right.phil1993 wrote:Anyone else noticed how fragile the McLaren's are as well?
Monza - Hamilton had a light touch and broke the suspension
Singapore - Hamilton gets a light touch and retires
Ferrari - Alonso at Spa gets hammered by Rubens and continues and when he hit the wall the damage wasn't that bad.
Red Bull - Webber smacked into Lewis in Oz and continued, same at Istanbul despite a hefty hit and here, despite his tyre nearly gone!
Btw, Kubica drove a fantastic last few laps after the stop, but do we now why he pitted one more time?
But still it was fantastic driving imo, there've been drivers that could not use the potential of new rubber to that extent...
I also know he had a puncture, but how did it occur? Did he touch the wall or sth?

And Rosberg is a good driver but not the best.07 Nico Rosberg 122

you can compare the drivers from Renault and Mercedes GP - some driver brings great results wile the other is struggling

I don't agree with you there, he showed really good performances this year and in the history, and I think he is close to Massa as a racing driverphil1993 wrote:Indeed.JoostLamers wrote:Any other rookie would have sent away at this point, it's just the name that keeps him in the Mercedesphil1993 wrote:The issue with Schumacher is that he's hard to judge this season. Paffett: "A very disappointing race Lewis got taken out by Webber who escaped penalty but at least JB managed to get some good points for 4th place."

Bernie admitted the situation in Korea isn't good. "They say it will be okay, we'll hope they're right..."
I'd put Rosberg as a guy who is a bit better than Heidfeld. Probably the 6th or 7th best driver out there.

No doubt great driving but still fair amount of advantage against others.

Re: 2010 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix
He's too old, it's as simple as that. That's why I never liked the idea of him coming back. He was showing first signs of wearout and ageing in 2005 and 2006, but now, nearly in his mid 40s he's way way past it. Stupid deal for both sides, Schumi should find a hobby that keeps him happy as soon as possible, because he can' be driving till he dies from senility with 75 or so....and Mercedes, well it's nice from a PR point of view, but a decent second driver would have gotten them way more points, maybe Sutil?phil1993 wrote:Indeed.JoostLamers wrote:Any other rookie would have sent away at this point, it's just the name that keeps him in the Mercedesphil1993 wrote:The issue with Schumacher is that he's hard to judge this season. Anyway, you are right, but I blame it 100% on his age...because in his prime he was something else, only Senna and Jim Clark were on his level....

Re: 2010 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix
Normally we could have judge Rosberg by comparing with him with Schumacher. So is Rosberg an enormous talent with a car that is pretty bad? Or is Schumacher being pretty bad?phil1993 wrote:The issue with Schumacher is that he's hard to judge this season. He is - lets be honest - being trounced by Rosberg, but how good is Rosberg? About the Hamilton/ Webber incident ( yes again ), people are comparing it with Hamilton crashing with Massa at Monza: well it's not the same at all. Last race at Monza, Hamilton was clearly behind Massa ( if my memory is good ) and made a mistake ( he never intended a pass there ). But here, Hamilton and Webber were side by side with, that's right, Hamilton slightly ahead. Both drivers didn't wanted to yield and boom. I still think it's more Hamilton's fault than Webber ( it's 60/40 ). If we compare it with the pass of Kubica on Sutil ( sorry Joost , but that past was beautiful ), Sutil and Kubica was side by side with Sutil slightly ahead, and in the corner, Sutil was in the same situation as Webber ( both on the kerb, locking the inside wheel ). But Kubica gave Sutil a little bit more room than Hamilton gave to Webber. I didn't say that Hamilton didn't give the room, but the room he gave was a little bit too small.
A similar incident happened last year in Australia with Vettel and Kubica, and Vettel was penalized. So why I think here it's more the fault of Hamilton? Because here Webber didn't lose the car at the braking and go straight into Hamilton, but in Australia, with worn tyres, Vettel did lose the car under braking and hit Kubica.
I would like to see Hamilton world Champion this year but it seems that bad luck is with him now ( Hungary, Monza and Singapore, it's a lot! )
