Drinks and snacks bought, clothes ready :) Monza here I come, we leave thursday at 06:00 GMT +1 (I think :p )

Friday I'll be at turn one (grandstand 8) and the rest of the weekend I'll be at grandstand 12, which is the first left-hander in the variante ascari. Watch the Lewis flag :) <<<

I can see it being a direct fight between the previous two winners of the Italian Grand Prix: Toro Rosso and Rubens Barrichello. Just joking of course... Rubens will win with ease.

On a serious note, McLaren's straight line speed advantage should give them the same advantage as Lewis Hamilton had at Spa. Unless of course they choose to remove the f-duct, a decision I (and apparently Williams too) would be baffled by. Anyway, if McLaren are indeed the fastest, Hamilton will run away with it, Jenson Button is not a match for him at the moment. Although we saw on the last lap last year what Hamilton is capable of.

My vote, for no particular reason, goes to Sebastian Vettel. The pressure is really on him now, and while I have my doubts about his championship credentials I can see him getting back on track and winning at the same circuit he won his first ever race. That said, it could be another race where Webber surprisingly has an edge on him.

Out of the rest, I don't expect the Ferraris to be particularly spectacular. The dominance of Hockenheim seems to have been a bit of a false dawn if Belgium is anything to go by. They could quite easily be embarrassed by Renault and Robert Kubica in front of the Tifosi on Sunday. The f-duct worked really well for them at Spa and I wouldn't be surprised to see the Pole break into the McLaren-Red Bull domination on race day. Mercedes seem to have reestablished themselves as the fifth best team as Michael Schumacher returns to some tracks he seems to do well at, and I think he could beat Nico Rosberg this weekend.

This is expected to be a Force India circuit, but so was Spa, and things never really paid off for them there. Vitantonio Liuzzi has a lot to prove, and I'm not sure if he's capable. Williams will be solid as usual, with Toro Rosso the worst of the established teams. And even if it does rain, Lotus, Virgin and HRT won't be in the points. The top teams don't make such silly errors to give slow teams like those a chance at the moment. This isn't 1999 any more.
Simple and effective

From Autosport.com
Brazilian former world champion Emerson Fittipaldi will fill the role as the stewards' advisor at this weekend's Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

The FIA has confirmed that the 63-year old, who held the same capacity at the Canadian Grand Prix in June, will return to the stewards' team.

Fittipaldi, who took the drivers' world championship titles in 1972 and 1974, is one of several former Formula 1 legends to assist the stewards as the FIA seeks a 'driver's perspective' on racing incidents.

Damon Hill, Derek Warwick, Alain Prost and Nigel Mansell are among those who have also worked with the FIA's regular race stewards this season, with Mansell making a particular impact at Spa with his tough stance on using the run-off at La Source and other issues.

I've liked this idea of having former drivers on the stewards' boards. I think we've avoided having too many dodgy penalties.
Requiescat in pace, Jules Bianchi

- What will happen to Ferrari on Wednesday? Did not happen anything. Too bad.  :(
- Will Force India be contenders? Maybe?
