Ok, you have a point.Mitsuro Sano wrote:I think it's more because he has the drive through than the fact that he couldn't past Alonso. Anyway, it's impossible to overtake on this circuit unless you've got better tyres than your opponent. Alonso defended very well, but Vettel wasn't able to follow him where he could gain time, in S2 especially, and he had a car which was easily about a second faster than Fernando.cheng.damien wrote:Great defensive driving from Alonso, back to his 2006 championship winning form..Vettel lost his cool on the podium, testimony to his frustration of being unable to beat Alonso. Future champion in the making, more learning for him..
Barrichello, with better tyres than Schumi ( Barrichello on Option, Schumacher on Prime ), he had the possibility to overtake him. Schumacher by the way has made a Webber, putting Barrichello nearly on the wall ( Webber did it with Alonso in Japan in 2005 and with Massa in Japan again in 2008 )
I hope the Williams mechanic is ok after the incident.
Hungaroring, a very bad race with only one overtaking, and a beautiful one!
Btw, I think Fernando overtook Webber for 3rd at Suzuka in 2005, if I didn't remember wrongly?

Yep, a brillant move by Alonso! He was on fire that race, making 3 great manoeuvre on Klein, Schumacher and Webbercheng.damien wrote:Ok, you have a point.Mitsuro Sano wrote:I think it's more because he has the drive through than the fact that he couldn't past Alonso. Tell this to Piquet Sr., at Hungaroring in 1986 (at 2:08):Mitsuro Sano wrote:Anyway, it's impossible to overtake on this circuit unless you've got better tyres than your opponent.

I mean with these modern F1 cars, it's impossible to overtake here. But in GP2, there is some overtakings
Nice move by Piquet

Great driving by Piquet in that vid!
I'd say I'm really stunned by Mark Webber's simply awe-inspiring performance. I think he even showed up his own performance at the Nürburgring last year.

Michael Schumacher has been given a 10 place penalty for the next race in Belgium for not giving much room for Rubens Barrichello when he overtook him
