British fans cheer for whoever. Yes, it'll be more towards the McLaren pair, but they'll cheer anyone who wins - there is rarely bad blood.

Yeah it happens everywhere but more in Spain and UK :p

Hamilton fan base consists of more young people, age band may be 22 and lower. Same goes for other young drivers but nobody has got exposure like him. Point is not everyone is on forums so the level of maturity about the sport might be low, other reason for it is biased/patriotic commentary.

Red Bull have given Adrian Newey an RB5 as a gift. What a gift :p

I read somewhere that this pit stop took 3.2 sec.! They matched Patrese's fastest EVER!

Webber given Vettel's old chassis

Mark Webber is to get a replacement chassis from the British Grand Prix, AUTOSPORT has learned, after the team felt it was not worth pushing his Valencia crash car back into full-time service.

Although the car that Webber crashed spectacularly in the European GP could be repaired, the team has decided to make that tub, chassis number 4, a spare for the remainder of the season.

On the back of that, Red Bull Racing has elected from Silverstone to give Webber chassis number 3 - the same one that team-mate Sebastian Vettel ditched after Monaco because he was not happy with it.

Vettel claimed after Monaco that he felt there was something wrong with the car, and the team duly discovered faults with it that meant he moved to chassis number 2 from the Turkish Grand Prix.

Speaking about the change at the time, Vettel said: "I was complaining for the last couple of races that something was not feeling right, and it was good on Sunday night [in Monaco] when we decided to change the chassis anyway just to make a change and find something. I think it explains a lot. On top of that, we also found other things that weren't in proper shape."

Since the problems that Vettel encountered with chassis 3, Red Bull Racing has undertaken a thorough analysis of the car and made repairs to the damage that it found.

The likelihood that the issues with chassis 3 were more related to damage than a manufacturing fault are increased by the fact that it is the car that delivered Vettel's first victory of the season in Malaysia.

Its hardly rained in London in since April, we've had very consistent weather for two or three weeks, almost scarily constant considering how British weather even in summer is often horrible.

But this means we won't have a race like 08 :( Hope he wins in the dry tho :cool:

That's why his introduction's been fantastic for the sport; it's attracted millions of new young fans, not just in England but around the world. His background story is inspiring, people can relate to him and commercially he's priceless. I think solely because of Hamilton, in Britain Formula One's no longer a sport watched primarily by the middle classes. When he's racing, stuff always happens, he drives like you would if you were playing a video game and it's exciting to watch.

I look back at when I started watching Formula One when I was little and although the racing was very good, it's not anything like as fascinating as it is now. I think it's easy to be all nostalgic and look back and think "Ah, it's not as good as it used to be" but when's the last time we had a dull Grand Prix season? 2004 in my opinion. That's five-and-a-half seasons of consistent brilliance.

But I hope Jenson does it on Sunday! I keep checking my tickets to make sure they're still there. Very, very excited!

AirAsia to appear on Lotus at Silverstone
The logo of team boss Tony Fernandes’ AirAsia airline could finally be added to the 2010 Lotus car.

Until now, Fernandes has been content to advertise only his investment firm Tune Group on the green T127, due to an existing sponsorship arrangement between AirAsia and Williams.

But Malaysia’s Star newspaper claims that an announcement about AirAsia joining Lotus as a sponsor “is expected to be made” at Silverstone this weekend.

We don't really need rain, the race shouldn't be boring.
