Red Bull have squandered chances to make the most of their speed advantage and rivals are now closing in, according to Formula One world champion Jenson Button.

Hamilton sets the quickest time of the session with a 1:38.402, before Webber powers in to post a lap time of 1:38.041. Before you know it, Vettel pips both drivers with a 1:38.015. Phew!

Schumacher is out on the super softs already, and the German must be feeling the pressure now after a very unconvincing first session.
