Who will take pole and the win?
Lewis (Hamilton) had been supreme around here and has his 100% record dented only thanks to that pit incident. McLaren should have the best car again here and with the boost from the win, I can't see past Lewis for doing the double. However, with the fact that its Canada, I wouldn't rule out Kubica for a podium. He goes well here and excels on street circuits.

What can the midfield teams do?
Williams will suffer with the pace of the Cosworth engine. Force India should be strong, Sauber probably not

Is this the new teams chance for a point?
Yes, its their best chance for a while, if they can keep it out of the wall and stay reliable - see Super Aguri 2007

Will the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve spring a surprise?
Maybe: Suicidal groundhogs like to make an appearance here.

Oh, I missed this kinda feeling. The montreal feeling ! the feeling like ... WOOO CRASHFEST ! And I think that even with the Red Bull's crashed in Turkey the race will be even more exciting. McLaren (Mostly Hamilton) are without a doubt the team to beat. But I think this is the perfect place and moment for a surprise podium.

Who will take pole and the win?
If it'd be a borefest I'd say Hamilton.

What can the midfield teams do?
Mercedes will be the leader of the midfield. Renault 2nd, Ferrari 3rd.

Is this the new teams chance for a point?
Yes, if new teams want some points. They need to try it here.

Will the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve spring a surprise?
Hmm... Maybe

Yup, they ruined Anthony Davidson's race (and maybe F1 career) in 2007. He was 3rd and was looking set to finish there when a groundhog ran onto the circuit and broke his front wing :(

Ferrari will be better here I think. Very close between them and Kubica for 'best of the rest'

This track in 2007 & 2008 gave us a great race, who could forget this:

This should be a great track for McLaren. All the Renault engined cars and especially the Cosworth engined cars will struggle.
I just hope that the tarmac holds for the entire race weekend. For the past few times that races were held here, the cracks and bits and pieces coming off have been increasing

Renault have good traction on the engines which should help, but Red Bull haven't been as good in race conditions as they are in low fuel quali.

Anyone reckon someone's gonna forget how much fuel they have onboard and plant it in the Wall of Champions?

Alonso losing faith in Ferrari? Considering they stopped developing the F60 in August last year to focus on the F10, their pace is pretty poor
Spoiler:
Fernando Alonso looks as though he is beginning to lose faith in Ferrari's development process after admitting that the Italian team are way behind Red Bull and McLaren and their upcoming upgrades aren't good enough.

"We know we have to improve. How long would that take? It is not known, but the truth is that we are almost eight tenths off of Red Bull and McLaren 6 or 7 [tenths] and the upcoming updates that we have do not give us this amount of pace," Alonso told La Razon.

BBC commentator, Jonathan Legard understands that Alonso is frustrated by the lack of upgrades coming out of the Maranello factory.

"I'm told that Fernando Alonso is very frustrated by Ferrari's rate of development. Compared to his time at McLaren in 2007, when the British team had updates for every race, Ferrari's flow of new parts this season has been very slow, with no more than little tweaks here and there so far."

Meanwhile it isn't only Alonso who has his doubts. Chief designer, Nicholas Tombazis, has also admitted that the updates planned for the Valencia GP, which Stefano Domenicali described as 'major', won't be enough to catch the leading two.

"In Valencia we will have a major change with many new parts," he stated. "But, the improvement we think will not be enough to reach the level of development of the strongest [teams]."

Despite this, team principal Domenicali, is adamant the team will not give up on the 2010 season, like they did in '09.

"We are not going to stop developing this car -- we are not throwing away these races so far," he told Spanish newspaper AS.

"We will continue working on the F10 until the end of the season."

I dont know about the forgetting the fuel part, but i expect (and HOPE :D) that someone has an incident there.
Though Renault engines have good traction, but the straights (especially the back straight) is very long. So in quali itself they should lose out. So their traction wont be too helpful (because it might have been able to help if they quali well) when attacking.

besides the big four i'd say Alonso and Kubica would be the ones to do well given previous form. Mercedes has a great chance to confirm they're in front of Ferrari at this venue. Red Bull has the brake problems, engine power concerns and of course fDucked things to think about. (i mean the drivers).

If they have the same problems as previous years, then going off line could be disastrous because of the marbles
