McLaren team boss Martin Whitmarsh on Lewis Hamilton's retirement:"It was a deflation. It could have been debris caught in the rim. It's not a straightforward puncture. It's difficult for the team. The tyres were in reasonable shape. I think probably debris caused the failure, but that's speculation."

By Barcelona standards, it was very good.

Yes, it did have a lull 2/3rds of the way through, but most races nowadays are like that.

The start was average, there wasn't a shortage of incidents, the Schumi-Button battle was quite good, Chandhok's incidents provided a bit of a laugh, and the last few laps were very exciting. As I said, it could have done with more overtaking though.

And I'd love F1 to ditch Barcelona, last exciting race was 1991.

I expected even worse.

I think that with those new rules we can expect at least some drama at the ends of the races.

For Hamilton,i'd say that it's his fault, becuase he pushed last 5 laps, with no chances to catch up Webber (15 sec in front) and with no danger of Alonso (10 sec back)

Alonso drove well, with great laps middle of the race.

Lewis had to constantly keep requesting flags to be show to lapped drivers. Bias from the Spanish Marshells perhaps? :zz:
