The Ferrari design team was given the brief that the new nose solution had to take the weight of Alonso's ego. This was the result.

Feel very sad looking at all these hideous noses. It's bad enough when I look in a mirror...

My first impression of the F14-T is that Ferrari have once again missed the boat in terms of more radical interpretations of the regs. Unless they think their power unit is 200 horsepower up on the rest of the field, that wide and low nose tip they've gone for (unlike the other teams thus far who have gone for the gentleman's sausage approach) is going to restrict too much airflow to the undertray and their aerodynamic performance will likely suffer.

Uhmmm, I agree. And the thing (I can't mention it an F1 car, yet) looks exceptionally awful, also...
Let's hope for the best!

Am I biased, or that Ferrari doesn't look that bad? I'd have that nose anyday over the little bobbly ones the other cars have...

Maybe I am. Can't wait to see what RB do. Their cars tend to avoid being utterly hideous, yet still be super fast. There are some leaked photos though.

The more the difference liveries I see IE the west and the honda, the more I like the nose of the Mclaren. Its the livery which changes the look. Being all one colour draws your eyes to it, masking the struts to the wing, make it look much better.

my thoughts as well. I pretty much expect Alonso and Kimi to be fighting in lower midfield

I mean, how can Ferrari miss such an obvious trick?!

Ferrari looks horrible but I agree with you that miles better than any of the "d**k-cars"

@mikhailv, there is no such thing as a Honda livery. The white and red livery of the late 80's and early 90's Mclaren is due to Malrboro. And that livery is simply HIDEOUS, I much prefer any chrome/silver one.

But I agree with you that Mclaren looks way better once the pillars gets hidden
