This what racecar engineering had to say about this: " It now seem that Lotus has indeed utilised twin impact structures at the front of the car but they are not identical to one another, the one on the right house the primary impact structure, whilst the one on the left houses a shorter secondary structure. Both ‘tusks’ also support the front wing.".

According to AMuS Lotus have an extreme and uncopyable engine installation.
